On tonight’s episode of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Chelsea tries in vain to save her little dog Frankie from the neighbor’s husky, and Leah and Jenelle both find new places to live. Meanwhile, Kailyn is reeling from her mom’s surprise visit — read on for the full recap.

Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska is not only the mom to little Aubree, 2 — she also has two dogs: a French bulldog named Frankie, and a pug named Pixie. But on the Jan. 14 episode, tragedy strikes the Houska household.

Chelsea’s Dog Becomes Neighborhood Husky’s Chew Toy

Chelsea reveals that he hasn’t talked to baby daddy Adam Lind in a few weeks, even though their daughter Aubree has been hanging out with Adam’s parents. But Chelsea insists that she doesn’t even have time to deal with her personal drama — she needs to take her final GED practice test, and this one is in math!

Chelsea is running late (again) for her GED, so she lets her dogs Frankie and Pixie out real quick before she has to leave, and it getting frustrated that they won’t come int. She frantically looks for Frankie, but can’t find him anywhere –until she pots him in the neighbor’s yard, being chewed on by their huge husky!

Terrified, Chelsea calls the police because she doesn’t know what to do, and they tell her they can’t be of much help. At this point, the GED is completely out of the question as Chelsea has her melt down.

“Every time I go to my test something happens,” Chelsea cries to her dad Randy, who is as sympathetic as he can be — but agrees with the husky owner that if Frankie would have been on a leash, he would still be alive.

Randy also points out that it could have been Aubree in that yard instead of the dog — and she is so lucky it wasn’t.

But things turn around for Chelsea when she finally takes her GED a few days later and passes! With Adam and boy drama completely out of her life, Chelsea’s mom says she’s on the right path. We hope so!

Jenelle Moves In With Friend Ashley

After breaking up with her boyfriend of a couple weeks Josh, Jenelle Evans decides to move in with her friend Amber and Amber’s son Brantley.  For whatever reason, Jenelle thinks this will be a good move for her and look favorably in the courts — two single teen moms without jobs living together with their toddler children.

In another genius move, Jenelle skips class again to go look at houses with Amber. They find one they fall in love with, with enough space and reasonable rent, and they get approved for it in no time — one big step in the right direction!

Jenelle thinks it will be a good place to have her son Jace, 2, over a lot, and thinks having more independence from her mom will be a better environment for Jace. And surprisingly, her mom Barbara likes the house and helps her move in!

Everything seems to be going well for Jenelle, until she decides that she needs to quit school because it’s too hard right now to juggle moving in, getting ler legal issues in order and also going to class. Per her reasoning, it makes more sense to drop out than fail her classes. Baby steps, I guess.

Babs is not pleased. But, it doesn’t result in a knock-down, drag-out fight, so that’s progress.

Kailyn Is Livid Over Her Mom’s Surprise Visit To Baby Isaac

After spending a weekend in Texas with her sister and cousin, Kailyn Lowry is back home in Pennsylvania and can’t wait to see little Isaac, whom she missed so much! But when she pics up Isaac from baby daddy Jo‘s house, she finds out that her mom — whom she hasn’t spoken to in a year — stopped by Jo’s house to see her grandson, without telling or asking Kailyn for permission.

Much to Kailyn’s dismay, Jo allowed the visit — and Kailyn does not think that’s OK. When she hangs out with her friend Mark later, Kailyn reveals why she is so upset over the situation — and decides to call her mom to confront the drama head-on.

But the conversation does not go well. After hanging up twice, her mom finally says she thinks it’s her right as grandmother to see Isaac, and Kailyn inssits that it’s her right as his mom to dictate who her son does and doesn’t see — and it’s not fair that she breezes in and out of his life.

She cries to mark that it’s not setting up a good example for her son, because she doesn’t want him to get the wrong idea and expect his grandma to be in his life when she knows he won’t be. So Kailyn really starts contemplating moving to Texas to be with real family.

The only problem? She would have to tear Isaac away from Jo.

When Kailyn brings up the idea to Jo, he is incredibly angry. He insists that once again, his son needs a father in his life, as well as Jo’s family, who has been nothing but supportive of Isaac his entire life. Kailyn finally sees where Jo is coming from, and it doesn’t look like a Southwest move is in the plans.

Leah Goes House Hunting With Ali & Aleeah

Leah Messer and her boyfriend Jeremy reconnect over a date, and decide they are in their relationship for the long haul. They are both completely smitten — even though Jeremy works as a pipeline engineer on location far away during the work week. But they know they can make their relationship work.

Meanwhile, back at Corey’s house, he confides in his friend Austin that he and Leah discussed getting back together, but she said he needs to prove he wants to be with her. Even though Corey thought about it, he finally decided that he doesn’t want to risk getting hurt again — and he’s moving on once and for all.

After another dinner date with Jeremy, Leah decides she wants to move, so she goes house hunting with her mom. They find a perfect four-bedroom house with lots of room for her twins Ali and Aleeah, and a cheap rent for only $725 a month. Leah wants to move in right away!

She tells Jeremy the good news over the phone, and it sounds like the four of them can live a happy-ever-after life in their new crib! We’ll just have to wait and see how fast their relationship moves.

You guys are so annoying. She was clearly watching the puppy the whole time and it ran away for a second and that’s when
It happened. She wasn’t being irresponsible! And she was not close to dropping her daughter.. She was obviously very upset about this and she should not be blamed!

Chelsea. You should lose your child, Childrens Aid should come apprehend your daughter immediately. Not only were you irrisponsible in letting two dogs out off leash, you chased Franki down the street with a child in your hands almost falling on multiple times. Thank god Aubry avoided having pavement for lunch. Your irrisponsibility has caused the death of a beautiful dog, you did nothing to try to help the dog. You went inside and called Daddy, whats he going to do!?! Get a bat or a broom handle and try to get your animal away from the Huskey, that is your responsibility as an owner! I feel sick to my stomach after watching that episode. You cant even care for an animal how the hell are you going to raise a half decent child. I hope you wise up and never ever get a dog again, however your probably stuiped enough to get yet another puppy before the end of this season. UNREAL

Her dad said they didn’t put the dog on a leash because they didn’t think the other dog would be vicious and tear her dog apart. That’s why you put your dog on a leash because you don’t know if other dogs are vicious!!!!

We all know she should have put the frenchie on a leash but at the same time dogs sometimes escape when you open the door. The huskie’s owner should also be responsible for not installing a fence and allowing his dog to attack a puppy. There’s something wrong with that owner and he should put his dog down now that it got a taste of blood.

That’s the most stupid thing I have heard. They had there dog on a leash if her down runs up to the dog because it’s not on leash it’s her fault! If she didn’t want her dog to get hurt by another dog or hit by a car then she should put it on a leash!

Chelsea is so irresponsible letting her dogs off leash. She should not own dogs. Does she not think having a child on her own is enough. She should feel horrible and find a good home for the dog she has left. This show just shows how irresponsible all these young girls are making bad decisions over and over. I am done watching after this episode.

Agreed. She had no business getting another dog anyway. She’s such a child. Seriously grow up. Maybe if you learned how to have a little puppy on a leash he wouldn’t have gotten killed. Poor thing had to lose his life cuz ur an immature spoiled little brat that has no concern for anything else but yourself. Good job.

I truly have no tolerance for people who let their dogs run free, no matter how well behaved the dog. I’m sorry, but their are too many threats to dogs, weather it be animals of prey, cars, bad weather etc. It is your responsibility as an owner to protect and care for your dog, just as you would a child. Would you let your kid run wild without supervision. Sure you don’t put leashes on children, but children actually understand human language and can understand boundaries. Dogs on the other hand, are just dogs. Sure they can learn commands, but at the end of the day, if they see a small rabbit or something that catches their eye they act under instincts and don’t always obey commands. Please be a responsible pet owner, I feel bad for the animals that have to endure owners that really don’t care about their well being. BE RESPONSIBLE.

Also, she put the other dog in a non-running car and shut the door!!! Did that one die too? Cause I didn’t see her take it out. Gah she’s horrible. I think everyone knows to not just let your dogs out when you’re near a street…

She didn’t even try to save the dog! She just stood there! She isn’t a responsible person and honestly I find it kind of sad it has taken her so long to get her G.E.D. from failing the tests.

Chelsea clearly made an irresponsible decision, and she has to live with it and obviously she realizes her mistake. But how come there is no outrage over this other dog!? Why wasn’t it muzzled? Even if it is tied up it is STILL a threat! A child could walk by it/stray over to it and be attacked, another dog that gets out could be attacked (lets be honest, even most GOOD pet owners have had their dog get out somehow). The owner NEEDS to suffer consequences here or it will for sure happen again. Where i live, that dog would be put down for such aggression by law. Not to mention, how did it get so aggressive in the first place? This is NOT normal dog behaviour, it is likely abused or has been.

I agree! This other dog should be put down! It should have been muzzled if it wasn’t behind a fense. It being tied up in an open yard is NOT enough!
Chelsea made a mistake, but she had to pay for it deeply and I don’t think she deserves what she went through!!

It’s not the other dog or its owners fault…if the dog is tied up in its own yard on a legally safe length leash it’s the fault of the intruder who wandered in. Dogs are territorial animals that husky attacked her dog in its own yard it probably marked daily, and it’s a choice to socialize your dog with others not a law. The other owner only has to do whats legal on their end, not accommodate for other people being irresponsible and if chelsea did her end to prevent it, it would not have happened.

Chelsea is a stupid spoiled brat, I read a post that the dog was attacked one time prior by the same dog to this incident that led to his death, she should be BANNED on ever owning a pet, further more it is 100% her fault, the poor pain that dog felt, she should really have gotten a fine at the least in which I am sure her daddy would have paid for. I hope she reads this, what a stupid, stupid, stupid spoiled little brat….. Didn’t she learn the first time he was attacked that dog was threatning, maybe daddy didn’t buy the leash for the dogs so Chelsea didn’t understand she had to do it, I am surprised she can even take care of her daughter…

Im not a chelsea fan, but come on! Okay maybe she made a poor decision to let it out offleash. But what about the owner of that other dog !!! It is CLEARLY a threat to the community. What if someone’s kid walks by and it attacks it? Or what about another dog that escapes (lets be realistic, it happens!) ? What if someone goes to their door and is attacked by the dog? It is CLEARLY aggressive and a threat. Where i live, that dog would be put down by law. Although what im wondering is what has been done to that other dog! Dogs DO NOT normally randomly rip apart other dogs, it is likely abused

I don’t know where you live but NOTHING will happen to the other dog because IT WAS ON LEASH!!! I practice law for a living and trust me, the husky was not in the wrong nor was the owner. The dog was leashed on the dogs property. The owner of the husky did everything right.

I am sorry Frankie died BUT Frankie should have been on leash and not on the huskys property.

I also doubt that the “dog would be put down” where you live. You do not know the laws in your area.

I seriously will not ever watch teen mom again because of Chelsea killing this poor animal. Frankie was a puppy that should have never been let out without a leash. She is not responsible enough to have a dog yet alone a child. She should be punished for the awful death of this sweet little animal!!!

I’m sure Chelsea is filled with regret over this, but I hope that this experience can save other from dealing with a horrible tragedy like this. Please leash your dog, unless you have a fenced in yard. Even if your dog has stayed in the yard multiple times before, you NEVER know what could spark her interest and make her run off and out of the yard. A rabbit, another dog, a person…you never know what might make your dog make that choice. Please, always keep an eye on your dog and a leash on all potty trips!!!

I feel bad for little Frankie. Where I live there is a leash law. Even if there isn’t one where you live a responsible dog owner keeps their pet on a leash. A leash would have saved Frankie’s life. I think it’s terrible and scary that there is such a vicious dog living in her area. However, most of the blame is still Chelsea’s for not using a leash.

I can’t believe Chelsea is not responsible enough to take her dogs on a leash. She is to spoiled she needs to grow up and deal with the real world. That poor puppy got murdered by Chelsea. That is why she was crying for hours because she knows it was her fault. Also, to ignore your daughter on top of it when she asks about the murdered dog that is beyond me. Chelsea is an animal murder the police should have charged her with animal abuse. I will no longer watch that trash of Teen Mom 2 it doesn’t teach anything but to continue being irresponsible. People like Chelsea need to not have an animal. RIP FRANKIE POOR LITTLE GUY DIDN’T GET A CHANCE!!!!!!!

How stupid can that girl be to know there’s a threatening dog near by and not put her dog on a leash. WOW how terrible what that little dog went through bc idiots like Chelsea. It’s 100% her fault the dog got attacked.
