Kate Middleton’s Due Date –Prince William & Kate Welcoming Baby In July

It’s official! The palace released a statement confirming when Kate and William’s baby will be born — and it looks like the royal couple can look forward to a summer baby! Read on to find out when Kate is due.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are so excited to welcome their first child later this year, and the palace officially confirmed Kate’s due date in a statement on Jan. 14 — how exciting!

Clarence House released an official statement on Jan. 14 to confirm that the Duchess of Cambridge is due in July!

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July,” the statement posted on the Clarence House official website read.

“The Duchess’s condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month,” the statement continued. Even though insiders speculated that Kate would be due in July, this is the first time the palace has officially confirmed the month.

Kate & Williams Daughter Will Be Given Title Of Princess

Queen Elizabeth II issued a formal decree that if the royal couple has a baby girl, she will be given the title of princess. For a century, per a decree by King George V, only the eldest son of the Prince Charles’ eldest son — so Prince William’s son — could have the title of prince, meaning any daughter born to William and Kate would have been called “lady.”

But on Dec. 31, Queen Elizabeth officially made the major change!

“The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patentunder the Great Seal of the Realm dated 31 December 2012 to declare that all the children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales should have and enjoy the style, title and attribute of royal highness with the titular dignity of Prince or Princess prefixed to their Christian names or with such other titles of honour,” the statement read.
