The sound of a million Twi-hards squealing was heard across America on Jan. 14, as Yahoo! movies announced the final DVD from ‘The Twilight Saga’ will be available for purchase on March 2. How exciting!
Mark your calendars! Breaking Dawn Part 2 will be officially released March 2 at midnight, and the movie will be available on Blu-ray, 2-disc DVD, On Demand and Digital Download. The film, which was nominated for several Golden Raspberry Awards, is the final movie of The Twilight Saga and it depicts Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) raising their child Renesmee under the threat of the Volturi.
The DVD will include a seven-part behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of BD:2 as well as an insightful feature-length audio commentary with director Bill Condon. It looks like fans can expect a lot of unseen footage!
‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’ DVD Release
Many of the cast members of the film shared their thoughts on the movie in the DVD trailer:
“I loved how alive she [Bella] became,” says Kristen. “She takes it to a whole new level. It’s not the easiest film to shoot… It’s a serious skill to fight through and still feel in the moment.”
Rob says: “It was fun — it’s like an action movie at the end.” Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, says “She [Bella] beat me up pretty good. She literally tosses me around the whole yard.”
“It’s real now,” says the author of The Twilight Saga, Stephenie Meyer. “She’s [Bella] a vampire. Everything physical suddenly becomes very easy.”
It was an awesome movie in the theater, and it sounds like it is going to be just as good on DVD, especially since it promises “sequences of violence including disturbing images, some sensuality and partial nudity.” Sounds like a fun time! And Summit have kindly provided a full list of bonus features.
