Sources tell HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Britney decided to leave ‘The X Factor’ and break up with Jason Trawick because they were both seen as dead ends.

Britney Spears endured quite the number of life changes on Jan. 11, when she announced that not only was she leaving The X Factor, but she was parting ways with her fiance Jason Trawick. Find out what drove Britney to make these drastic decisions.

Britney Spears Wants More Kids

A source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Jason got the engagement ring back from Britney.  [She wants more kids and Jason doesn't] — Britney is a great mom and at 31, she wants to grow her family.”

Jason, who is ten years older than Britney at 41, is in “another place” and does not want to start a family, which was originally reported by TMZ, along with the fact that Britney returned her $90,000 engagement ring to Jason.

‘The X Factor’ Is A Sinking Ship — Britney Escaped Before Things Got Ugly

A source close to the show tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Britney has career.  She’s working on her 8th album and Vegas is wooing her — that’s why she decided to leave The X Factor, which is a sinking ship. Britney is still in high demand.”

This is the second time, in two seasons, that Simon Cowell has had to overhaul the judges panel on X Factor. Furthermore, ratings continued to decline this year after a lackluster first season.
