Marion Cotillard opted for a feminine floral Zuhair Murad Couture Fall 2012 frock for the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Jan. 10, where the star looked simply stunning in the A-line dress. While the embellishments and floral beadwork kept it colorful from the front, when she turned around the open back gave us an unexpected hint of skin!
When it comes to styling a winning red carpet look, Marion is a pro — and last night wasn’t an exception! As to not take away from her fantastic frock, the star accessorized with nude Jimmy Choo ‘Tahi’ sandals, a nude clutch and Chopard jewels. I really like the way she pulled her hair back into a soft, side-parted bun — if she had worn her hair down it would have concealed the pretty details of the dress! Her nude makeup also worked so well with her get-up.
From plunging necklines to cutouts, skin is definitely in on the red carpet — and I love the way Marion’s dress gave us a glimpse of her back. Showing skin on the red carpet can sometimes be tricky — while a sexy look is unforgettable, a wardrobe malfunction will leave you wishing you second-guessed your outfit! After all, you don’t want to be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
I really loved this feminine dress on the star, especially because it was a departure from her usual look. From the floral pattern to the A-line silhouette, it was such a sweet style.
