Sandra Bullock Was Hilarious & Totally Deserving At People's Choice Awards

The gorgeous actress accepted the first-ever People’s Choice Award for Favorite Humanitarian on Jan. 9 and she just proved she’s the most awesome actress in Hollywood. Plus, I’m hoping her ex-husband Jesse James was watching, read on to find out why!

Sandra Bullock is the epitome of wit and charm. The 48-year-old actress gracefully took the stage on Jan. 9 to accept the Favorite Humanitarian Award from her good friend and fellow actress, Regina King. She was there to be honored for all the work she’s done to rebuild New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina and I realized why I fell in love with Sandra all over again.

Sandra started it off by joking that Regina dropped the “f-bomb” in her ear, and that totally eased the audience, every erupted into laughter, it was brilliant. Later in the speech she said that we give her too much credit and that all she really does is write a check thanks to us allowing her to have a career that allows her to do what she loves. It doesn’t get much more honest than that!

“And I’m not at all being modest when I say I don’t do anything compared to what they do on a daily basis,” she said. “I am simply blessed to be able to do what I do because of what you allow me to do, and that is write a check and be a really good cheerleader and that’s it.”

Sandra and Jesse were married from 2005 to 2010 and then the lid was blown on his horrifying cheating ways. He cheated on her with multiple women and it all came to the surface after her Oscar win for the Blindside. Then after a stint in “sex rehab” he said things like: “The media portrayed it as this huge negative thing, but if anything, I got more support from everybody else, because, yes, I cheated on my wife, but so do a lot of other people.”

He also said this: “Does that mean I’m the devil? Or that I’m Satan? I don’t think so. I made a mistake and I’m sorry for it, but I owned up to it. I didn’t lie about it or do any kind of BS.”

I’m thrilled he said such stupid things because it made me hate him even more! Sandra has moved on with her life and she shortly after adopted baby Louis, who she lives with in New Orleans.

Sandra deserves all the happiness and success in the world. I can’t wait to see all that’s to come for her in 2013!
