'Vampire Diaries' Pics: Rebekah's Return Stirs Up Drama -- Sexy Drama

Jeremy’s tank top! Damon’s gaze! These 15 new pics prove the return of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ was worth the wait.

The Jan. 17 episode of The Vampire Diaries takes us back to a dark place we haven’t seen much of in a while: Mystic Falls High! Yes, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and her undead brat pack — which is a terrible pun, as this episode is sort of Breakfast Club-inspired — return to their school’s hallowed halls for a dramatic hour of confrontations and reveals. So, basically, it’s just another day.

One of the more suspicious photos finds Rebekah (Claire Holt) — who is back in action, thanks to that foolish strumpet April (Grace Phipps) — getting a little too close for comfort with Stefan (Paul Wesley). Given their checkered past together, I can only see this reunion leading to terrible things, especially now that Stefan is single again!

Of course, Stefan’s not the only guy Rebekah is seen cozying up to in these photos. Tyler (Michael Trevino) also falls victim to her trampire gaze, though his angry face seems to imply that he’s having none of her shenanigans.

And then there’s Caroline (Candice Accola), who just looks generally unhappy and/or scared.

We also see Professor Shane (Dave Alpay) in an intense coaching session with Bonnie (Kat Graham), who remains blissfully unaware that her mentor is actually a dirty, dirty liar.

The new batch of photos even contains a superb shot of Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and my new favorite character: DAT TANK TOP. Seriously, though, I hope he gets that thing sewn onto his body and never removes it.

As an added bonus, tank-clad Jer is being trained by Damon (Ian Somerhalder), who smolders the heck out of the camera — both from a distance, and up close.

Rebecca is back! I like her way better than Caroline! Look at Stefan’s face! Ha!

Can I just how much I hate Rebecca and how much I love Klaus?! Rebecca just seems like an unnecessary character. I would also like Damin and Elena to get back together….soon….if its possible…

I can’t wait for this show to return, the wait has been very hard to deal with. Though Rebekah’s plan of locking everyone in the library is dramatic, it seems like it will be a chance to clear the air. A coworker at DISH and I have been discussing Caroline’s decision to tell Stefan the truth, and this will really be a way for everyone to work through the drama. I am beyond excited to see it all unfold; I am really glad that even with my late work schedule I won’t miss the return with my DISH Hopper. The 2,000 hours of storage space leaves more than enough room for all of my shows. I also love that I can record multiple shows at the same time, never falling behind on anything. Elena and Stefan’s confrontation was bound to happen sooner or later, and I am not surprised that it is going to happen in one of the most dramatic ways possible.

Wonderful, we get to hear Rebekah’s dulcet tones once more, can Rebekah have a not so evil twin somewhere, Claire Holt is really wasted in this one dimensional role, the writers have not been able to flesh her out very much.
