The singer traded in her blunt bags and long locks for an absolutely elegant bun the 39th Annual People’s Choice Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. January 9, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.

Taylor Swift, 23, looked more beautiful and sophisticated than ever in a look we’ve never seen! The star swept her long blond tresses into a piece-y low bun that put all the emphasis on her gorgeous face.

Taylor has the blunt bang mermaid wave style down pat, but this is such a glamorous side to the star that gives her such a grownup look. In a word, she looked amazing! Taylor highlighted her sparkling blue eyes with a deep bronze eyeshadow that picked up the shine in her eyes. Since bronze is opposite on the color wheel from blue, the two shades work off of each other and highlight Taylor’s eyes in the best possible way.

With an intense eyeshadow look like Taylor’s, it’s best to pair it with a neutral lip so the two complement rather than compete with each other. Taylor paired her beauty look with a stunning floor length white gown that made her look like a Grecian goddess.

If you haven’t been following, this is Taylor’s first public appearance since splitting from hottie Harry Styles. But who needs boys when you are nominated for three awards for Favorite Song of the Year for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” Favorite Female Artist, and Favorite Country Artist! What an amazing achievement! Taylor has proven herself to be one of the fiercest women in music and at such a young age. It’s incredible to think of the potential for greatness the young star has!
