Breaking Dawn: Part 1 was one of the most romantic movies of 2011, featuring Edward and Bella’s wedding and their honeymoon and now a new extended DVD promises eight minutes of never-before-seen footage! Yay! More Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!
The Twilight Saga — Breaking Dawn: Part 1 Extended Edition will be available for purchase on Blu-ray, DVD and by digital download on March 2, 2013.
It will feature eight minutes of deleted scenes from the film chosen by Direction Bill Condon. You can also listen to his audio commentary if you wish!
“As Twilight series devotees know, there was a lot of ground to cover in adapting Breaking Dawn to the screen,” Condon said in a press release. “Between the wedding, the honeymoon, the birth, and everything in between, naturally there were things that didn’t make it into our final cut. But I wanted to make sure that for all the Twihards out there, there was a chance to see some of these cut scenes – several of which are fan favorites from the book.”
The new release will also include the original theatrical version.
Kristen recently spoke out about the series, commenting that she will never be able to escape the fascination with the movies:
“I doubt people will stop asking us about Twilight. And hopefully not. Hopefully this is something we are able to hold onto forever. I don’t think anyone who has been invested in this since day one will suddenly disappear from my life. It’s a large group but I do feel we are forever bonded we share something that is a once in a lifetime thing.”
