To say there is no love lost between the boys of The Wanted and One Direction would be quite an understatement. As the two English boy bands battle it out for supremacy, things continue to grow more and more intense as Nathan Sykes, member of The Wanted, went after a One Direction fan on Twitter on Jan. 2!
The Wanted Takes On Haters
A Twitter user with the handle @maddhatter333 tweeted The Wanted’s official account with a nasty insult about the boys, saying, “@TheWantedMusic I don’t know you give One Direction s**t, you can’t even sing. Glee did a better version of your song than you #yousuck.” Not exactly the nicest thing, but the response she got from the band wasn’t any better.
The band’s official Twitter replied to the hater with, “@maddhatter333 smile, you got a face like a smacked arse…” Wow! The tweet was later deleted from the account, but Nathan quickly tweeted from his personal account, “That awkward moment when you realise you are on the band account instead of your own…” While Nathan’s reply to the hater definitely was not nice, she certainly isn’t an angel in the situation, either.
One Direction Vs. The Wanted: The History
This is just the latest in the ongoing war between the two groups. Max George and Zayn Malik have shared words on Twitter, prompting Max to tell journalists that he would risk arrest to fight the boys of 1D! Then, at the Z100 Jingle Ball on Dec. 7 (which had both groups on the bill), we asked The Wanted who would put on a better show. Siva Kaneswaran replied, “What do you think?! Us!”

Ok, the hater was out of line. But really, both bands need to grow some balls and just stop! Really I prefer 1D but really? You don’t see Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson fighting and they both have same style music and such, just like the bands! So really, they just need to stop.
