Even though Katie was the one to call it quits in her marriage just six short months ago, a new report claims that she was a little uneasy hearing about Tom’s fun night out with another woman! Read on for all the details.
Tom Cruise, 50, danced his night away on Dec. 19 with a young brunette half his age, Cynthia Jorge, 26, clearly showing that he has moved on from his failed marriage. It’s understandable that Katie Holmes might be uptight about seeing her ex-husband pursuing another woman already — but after all, she initiated the split!
On Dec. 18, Tom dined at a fine restaurant in Manhattan, Beauty & Essex, where he met a beautiful female employee who left him her business card. After eagerly reaching out to this new potential love interest, the two were spotted out at Le Baron night club the very next night getting loose on the dance floor.
“Katie’s jaw hit the floor when she read about Tom’s wild night,” a close friend told OK! magazine. “She was pretty shocked by it and certainly wasn’t happy at all.”

It isn’t Katie’s jealously over a new woman in Tom’s life that sparked her shocked reaction, though. Instead, Katie is more concerned with the affect it will have on daughter Suri‘s relationship with her father if he were to bring around a new woman so soon, considering that, at age 6, she’s more aware of what’s happening in her parents’ lives.
Although Suri may not completely understand the circumstances, Katie is worried that it will take a negative toll on her and Tom’s strong bond.
“Suri is at a very vulnerable phase in her development where she totally idolizes Tom,” the friend says. “To bring another woman into the picture is going to be bad for Suri and Tom’s relationship.”
