Following the loss of her puppy Lila, Miley’s rescued another adorable pooch in need of a home! Read on for all the details.
Back in mid-December, Miley Cyrus let the world in on the tragic loss of her Yorkie pup Lila, which occurred at the hand of her other pooch Ziggy. It was a rough time for Miley, understandably. The loss of a beloved pet is never easy. But it seems as though Miley is beginning to recover from her pain, as she announced on Twitter on Jan. 3 that she’s adopted a new puppy named Bean.
Miley shared a photo of herself and the little lady, who can’t be more than a few months old, on Twitter, with a message that read, “Meet Bean.” She added a few hearts and included a Twitter handle for Spot Rescue Dogs, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing non-specific breed dogs, or mutts.
Miley’s Pet Woes
The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer’s pet-owning life has been rough as of late. Lila had been hospitalized in October, prompting Miley to tweet, “please pray for my baby girl Lila…She is in the hospital. I am so heart broken. Please send out vibes for her to not be afraid & to heal.”
On Dec. 11, Miley again shared his despair with her Twitter followers, saying, “for everyone asking…I have never been so hurt in my life. My heart has never been so broken…Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away.” She followed up that tweet with “Broken. Gonna go MIA for a bit. Need some healing time. Thank you to everyone who has sent love my way. I need it.”
She began to heal emotionally a few weeks later, sharing with her fan, “This is just what mommy needed. These precious babies still here on earth are just what the doctor ordered. #pupsheal.” Attached to that tweet was Miley surrounded by her dogs.
