Nina Dobrev Reveals She's 'Getting Married' On Asian Vacation

During a post-Christmas trip to Asia with Ian Somerhalder, Nina tweeted about tying the knot — but did she and Ian really have a New Year’s Eve wedding?

As previously reported by HollywoodLife.com, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder left Los Angeles on Dec. 26 for a month-long vacation in Asia while on break from filming The Vampire Diaries. Aw! And it looks like they’re not there just for sightseeing and sunbathing, as Nina tweeted on New Year’s Eve that she was going to marry her “soulmate.”

As it turns out, Nina was just teasing us, and she plans on marrying a small tiger!

Well he looks less deadly than Damon! Nina tweeted “Found my soulmate…” followed by “I’m getting married!!!!!!!!”, and fans got extremely over excited that she and her CW co-star had eloped in Asia. However, Nina spoiled all the fun by then tweeting “He’s orange … And soft… And we’ll be together forever. Match made in heaven… IM IN HEAVEN” with pictures of her feeding the cute little guy.

And it seems like her fans were not the only ones confused by her tomfoolery, as Ian retweeted her message and said “Wait?WTF!?”. It looks like he doesn’t want to be upstaged by an adorable tiger! Personally, I am a little sad that Nina was just kidding, but that tiger looks like he would be good marriage material.

Nina, 23, and Ian, 34, arrived in Shanghai on Dec. 27 for a month of traveling.

Nina tweeted, “And I’m at it again… Packing – but this time for CHINA! Leave in the morning and connect a bunch of times. It’s going to be a lot of… Travel but its so worth it – I’m so excited !!! Can’t wait! My first time to Asia!” on Dec. 25. Then on Dec. 26, she tweeted, “Taking off- direct flight to shanghai!!!!!!!!!!!!”

It looks like the lovebirds are having a great trip!

Getting married doesn’t mean that you have to get kids right away (or any kids at all if that’s what you want), so I don’t think 23 is too young to get married. But it’s their choice not ours, tie the knot if you’re sure. Love to see you married, though!!!

She’s not 18 like Elena. 24 is not too young to get engaged. People get engaged then wait another 3 years till they get married. I don’t see the big deal unless she hasn’t found Mr Right yet and she’s still looking and waiting. Does your life end when you get married or something????

I got to this by an accident, yet I got so excited about it… Then I read on and I was seriously like ‘what the hell just happened?!’ God! I so wanted it to be true, guess it ain’t my lucky day… But have to say, that kitty is meawww… ;-)
