Confirmed: Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' About Harry Styles

Rumors have been swirling about which of Taylor’s beaus is the subject of her hit song, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ and Hollywoodlife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that the song is about Harry!

“Haylor” fans can’t wait for Taylor Swift, 23, to write a song about her latest romance with One Direction’s Harry Styles, 18, – but it turns out she already has! Taylor’s latest hit “I Knew You Were Trouble” was originally thought to be about one of her exes like John Mayer or Jake Gyllenhaal, but it’s actually about her current boyfriend!

“The song ‘Trouble’ is definitely about Harry,” a source close to the situation confirms to Hollywoodlife.com exclusively. “Taylor told Harry it’s about him. She references flying around America following One Direction’s tour in the song.”

If you’ve read the liner notes of Taylor’s Red album, it makes sense that the song is actually about her One Direction beau. The clue Taylor writes for “I Knew You Were Trouble” reads “when you saw me dancing.” This line refers to when Taylor danced in the audience to One Direction’s performance at the Kid’s Choice Awards in March 2012 (video below).

But it seems Harry doesn’t always cause Taylor trouble. The couple’s romance has blossomed quickly over the past month and they even spent New Year’s Eve together in Times Square! Harry waited on the sidelines while Taylor performed on Dick Clark’s’ New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest and after the show the couple shared a very public New Year’s kiss!

taylor’s album came out before her and harry dated they confirmed the relationship on New Years (because they kissed) and her album came out around November….. So it couldn’t be about Harry. #NOH8

So who ever wrote this is retarded. This song was wrote months before her and Harry got together. This album came out way before they got together.

No it is about John Mayer, she wasn’t even dating Harry when she wrote the song and if you look at the references in the song (even the guy in the video looks like Mayer) it matches some of the lyrics in Dear John and implies the “guy” of the song is a notorious womanizer (cough cough John Mayer.) Plus, Taylor was really young and naive when she dated John and was probably heartbroken when she found out her prince charming was using her. Most girls don’t understand at that age that some guys are only looking for one thing, so you can understand why she would been so worked up over it.

There is no reference in that song at all about dancing. The song was written way before she started dating him. This chick needs to check her facts…smh

whoever wrote this article obviously cannot do basic math. this album was written and recorded long before this brief tryst.

It couldn’t be about Harry if her album was released in October, and they started dating in December. Plus, it would’ve been more time than that during the process of choosing songs and placement on the CD. It’s not about Harry Styles, whoever told people that is an idiot.
