Kanye West has always honored his late mother, so it’s no surprise he wants to name his firstborn after her. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY it’s definitely a possibility the couple will name the baby Donda after his late mom, Donda West.

“If Kanye has a daughter, he wants to name her Donda, after his mother. He’s been saying that for years, and he will really try to get Kim to do that,” a source tells us EXCLUSIVELY. “He loves her and misses her tremendously — he even named his art collective after her. Kim would probably be for it, as she loves him and would be supportive of his wishes.”

Back in November of 2007, Donda West died after complications following a cosmetic surgery treatment.

The news broke on Dec. 30 about that Kimye was expecting a baby when Kanye announced the news on stage at his concert on Dec. 30 in Atlantic City. Kim Kardashian went along and confirmed the news on her official website today, Dec. 31, saying, “It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo.”

But Kanye isn’t the only one of the pair who has lost a parent. Kim, 32, lost her father, Robert Kardashian, in 2003. Maybe if they have a boy, they’ll name him after her father? Either way, we’re sure whatever the name of the baby, it will be beautiful and meaningful.

i don’t think that Kim will name her child Donda; she really should ask her mother; she did a nice job naming her daughters. All cute names!!

Reminds me of an old comic strip in the papers called “Dondi” about a war orphan in a foreign country who was brought to America by 2 American soldiers and one of them adopted him. If I remember right, Dondi is not a complimentary name.

no offense but Donda is just so not a cute name and theres no way Kim will let her child be named that! she will pick something over the top and lavish, not old and strange.

Hear hear. I doubt she will like that name for her daughter…if it is a girl. I predict Dona will be nowhere near the name they will choose.

Well, Donda is no worse than Penelope, the name Kourtney chose for her baby! I myself think Kim should name the kid Phebe. Phebe and Penelope go together and when they get to be old ladies they can greet each other with “Hello, Cousin Penelope” and “Hello, Cousin Phebe”!

I pray it’s a boy. Rather see a boy growing up as a slut rather than a girl. Sorry fellas.
If it’s a boy Kanye will name it after him. If it’s a girl probably something like Kadonda. LOL.

The boy will probably find out about his mom’s claim to fame when other boys his age find her sextape online. It’s true.

She’ll probably make her kids watch the sex tape when they become teenagers, to give them a few lessons on how to please their many lovers!

Let’s hope that if it’s a girl, she doesn’t turn out like her mother.

If the kid grows up to be like her mother, Mommy will encourage her to watch the sex tape to pick up a few pointers, the kid will start having sex at 14 like Mommy did, and the kid will have over 100 sex partners before she’s 30!
