The year may be coming to a close, but these red carpet looks surely left a lasting impression. While lace, sheer and sequins surely dominated, so did these leading ladies! From some of our favorite young starlets like Kristen Stewart and Selena Gomez to seasoned red carpet pros Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, these 20 stars stole the spotlight practically every time they stepped out — but who do YOU think deserves to be named best dressed of the year?
In 2012 we found ourselves impressed with a slew of young stars like Lea Michele, Miley Cyrus, Blake Lively and KStew. Not only did they constantly take risks and step out in high-fashion frocks, but they appear to do so with such confidence — we can’t wait to see more of these gals on the red carpet!
At just 20-years-old, Selena really blossomed this year on the red carpet. The star is certainly growing up, and her style choices have matured so effortlessly. She may love frilly frocks when she’s performing on stage, but when she hits the red carpet it’s all about dressing sophisticated and chic — she’s definitely one we love to watch!
Celebrities weren’t the only style stars in 2012! In fact, one of my personal favorites to see on the red carpet is Kate Middleton. While the Duchess dresses down in affordable fashion finds and isn’t afraid to re-wear a glam gown, her affinity for British designers like Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen earned her a spot on our list.
