In addition to spending Christmas together, Katy Perry and her boyfriend John Mayer were spotted out on the town last night, Dec. 27, in Beverly Hills where they enjoyed a romantic evening together.
A friend of John’s tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “John is completely cuckoo for Katy. They are, like, the perfect match for each other. They can talk about music, writing, traveling. They both want to take a trip to Japan together. Katy adores her fans there and John has always enjoyed spending time there.”
On Dec. 27, the twosome had a low-key dinner date at the swanky Matsuhisa, and on Christmas day, Katy tweeted an adorable pic of John dressed up like Santa Claus with the words “Santa Baby.” They spent the holidays with Katy’s family in Santa Barbara.
“John really likes the fact that Katy is so independent and not needy and clingy like other girls he has dated. This is the first time John has felt so strongly about a girlfriend,” added the friend.
“It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he proposed to her. Not immediately but eventually,” said the friend. “They both really do bring out the best in each other.”
