The fashionable First Lady stuck to a neat and chic look while in Hawaii for the holiday — and it wasn’t the first time we saw her show off the colorblocked frock!
Michelle Obama opted for an easy breezy get-up while celebrating Christmas in Hawaii, pairing a Narciso Rodriguez tank dress with black, open-toed sandals. Not only was the colorblocked, black-and-white dress an effortlessly chic choice, but it was also perfectly appropriate for the occasion — and it wasn’t the first time we saw the First Lady flaunt her figure in this classic frock!
We first spotted this dress on Michelle back in July of 2009. Wearing her hair back, the First Lady paired the comfortable dress with a pair of metallic flats. The very next year, in 2010, Michelle showed off the same ensemble — but this time she was in Martha’s Vineyard. She dressed up the look for dinner, pairing the dress with a cropped black jacket, a streamlined clutch and more dramatic eye makeup — we love how she easily transformed her favorite warm-weather staple for the occasion! Even when she’s on vacation she still keeps her look so stylish — and I commend her for properly playing with proportions, pairing the full frock with a cropped jacket for a perfect dinner ensemble.
On Christmas Day, the First Lady and her hubby visited Anderson Hall at the Marine Corps Base in Hawaii to visit military personnel. While Barack opted for a bright blue, short-sleeved polo shirt and a pair of khakis, Michelle relied on her trusty tank dress. A retro headband added the finishing touches to her outfit.
Not only does Michelle always manage to look oh-so-stylish and appropriate every time we see her out and about, but she’s also so practical, often re-wearing her favorite designer items. We think it’s so cool how she often recycles items of clothing, just like us! In fact, it’s also a move one of our favorite Royals, the Duchess of Cambridge, often opts for as well.
What do you think of Michelle recycling her look for Christmas Day?
