Cory reportedly gave Lea an ultimatum on Christmas — and she wasn’t happy about it! Keep reading to find out why she was upset with her boyfriend!

Glee stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith may have had a lovely Christmas — but things started off rocky for the low-key couple. See what Cory said that set Lea off! (Don’t worry, he had good intentions!)

Us Weekly is reporting that Cory, 30, told Lea, 26, that he was setting a $2,000 gift limit on their Christmas presents! This didn’t make Lea too happy!

She was “pouty about it at first.” But Cory had good intentions! He explained that “the only gifts that he’d ever saved were the ones that had thoughts behind them.”

Cory’s sweet sentiment had Lea singing another song! “She told him she’d blow his mind for $2,000. She thought of it as a challenge,” the source said.

It’s so sweet that stars with so much money still like thoughtful gifts!

Lea recently told Marie Claire about her relationship with Cory:

“I don’t even remember a time when he wasn’t my boyfriend. No one knows me better than Cory. No one knows what it’s been like to go through this more than he does. Feeling like you have that net underneath you allows you to jump higher and go farther. He makes me feel like I can do anything. For the first time in my life, I feel really, really settled and happy. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

Do you think it’s sweet Cory set a limit for gifts, HollywoodLifers?

LOL at you Erica!! I just read this on Perez’s site, does that make it even more “truthful”?!? Cause you know, there are plenty of people who believe the dribble he spouts off, LOL!!

And Fleur… I agree with your post however, I gotta say, you’re one to talk. I’ve seen PLENTY of your posts regarding the Housewives of “fill in the city”. Seems YOU tend to believe just about every word written about them, not to mention, believe just about every word said on those shows even though it’s a well known fact that they’re heavily edited. Pot, meeting that kettle eh??…. LOL!!

To those people who claim hollywood life is making this up, I just read the same story in US weekly, which I know personally tends to be relatively, emphasis on relatively, straightforward and truthful with their stories. None of us knows what she is like in real life, but this does not paint a pretty picture.

That is because they rip off the same story from each other moron. Just because it is repeated doesn’t make it true. How naive are you?

I think it make him look worse. Who is he to put limits on her spending and what if she had a painting made for him or something else that can be very personel yet epxpensive? Something can have meaning but be costly.

I find this type of nonsense offensive personally, and I am not one of those crazy people who finds all celebrities self-absorbed,overpaid, horrible creatures. Actually, it’s really the article writer who is at fault for the article itself, describing this “situation” in such a positive manner as if Lea Michele is some kind of saint for compromising a $2,000 budget. Lea Michele “was pouty at first” about hearing her boyfriend will only spend $2,000 on gifts for her this year. This is not the type of behavior I find respectable or sympathetic. Wouldn’t a more interesting story be that Lea Michele decided she and her boyfriend should donate the $2,000 gifts to help those in need this year, such as Sandy victims. This just rubs me the wrong way.

Lea is the girl who buys him lava lamps and floating shark toys. And Cory thinks they’re the best gift ever. Get a life, Hollywood Life and stop writing nonsense.
