Demi is using her special gift — her voice — to lend support to the victims of the horrible Newtown massacre — watch the emotional video below.

X Factor judge Demi Lovato has a huge heart — she is lending her powerful voice to an amazing cause to benefit the victims of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. Watch Demi’s video below of her singing “Angels Among Us.”

The video opens with the message, “We can never imagine what the families in Newtown, CT are experiencing right now. And while there is nothing we can do to replace their loss, we can stand together and support them during this difficult time. This song is in honor of those angels we lost on December 14.”

At the end of the video, a message reads, “To support the families in Newtown, CT go to: WeAreNewtown.org.

Demi’s emotional performance is dedicated to the 20 children and 6 adults who lost their lives when Adam Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary School on a shooting rampage on Dec. 14, 2012.

President Obama and First Lady Michelle also paid tribute to the Sandy Hook victims in a holiday video.

Demi’s Musical Future

At the X Factor finale, Demi told HollywoodLife.com that she would be open to collaborating with finalists Fifth Harmony: “I am always open to collaborations and I would like to show these girls a ‘Thank you’ and show them how much they have done for me. If I can help their album in any way or collaborate since they are so down-to-earth. I would collaborate with any of the Top Three right now.”
