Rebekah’s return isn’t the only thing shaking up Mystic Falls! What major secret could Elena be ready to expose?
The return of The Vampire Diaries is fast approaching — new episodes begin Jan. 17 on The CW — and what would life in Mystic Falls be without a few life-altering secrets coming to light? According to the official description for the episode, titled “After School Special,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) drops a “bombshell piece of information” following Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) “unexpected” return to Mystic Falls High. Any guesses?
If I had to take a stab in the dark, I’d guess that Elena’s big reveal is either about being sire-bonded to Damon (Ian Somerhalder), or about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) being a hunter. Both pieces of information are game-changers, particularly once Rebekah finds out about them. (Oh, April, why did you have to be so awful and set her free?)
Five more spoilers from the Jan. 17 episode:
1. Rebekah pressures Elena, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) to tell her about the cure.
2. Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) dad becomes the town’s interim mayor — R.I.P., Carol Lockwood! — and “makes it a priority to protect his daughter.”
3. Shane (Dave Alpay) “reveals too much to the wrong person” and suddenly “finds himself in danger.”
4. Tyler (Michael Trevino) ends up in a “violent confrontation,” which requires some comfort from Caroline.
5. Damon and Matt (Zach Roerig) work with Jeremy to “raise his game as a hunter,” but of course, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) butts in when he decides the process isn’t moving quickly enough.

I really hope this DOESN’T happen (and I love Stefan’s character)… There is no “work” in the world Elena could do to erase the fact that she did pursue Damon and slept with him…bond or no bond. I even have to admit that she had to have feelings for him “before” she turned, so the sire bond is just another atrocity that was cooked up to keep us watching and hoping. I hope Stefan moves on…Stelena is sadly over.

She slept with his brother, she developed whatever feelings for said brother, so something is messing with the epicness.. Don’t you think? I am sorry but stefan is not trying to fix elena, he is trying to get her life back and if you remember in season 2 elena told stefan she didn’t want to be a vampire, the she didn’t wanted to die. I am sure Damon loves her but she does not love him because she only likes him when he is nice, and if she did love him she would love him the way he was at the beginning and now.. Elena really loves stefan because she was still in love with him when he was mean in season 3. I am sure elena likes
Damon, but like does not make a good couple, elena and stefan are epic love. Stefan and elena belong together…

Elena and Damon are perfect together, I hope she admits that she love’s him and I hope she stays a Vampire! As for klaus and Caroline they 2 make the perfect couple!!! I had tears of joy when Delana slept together, it was one of the best episodes of VD!!!!!!!!

Bonbshell – she has to count all the bricks in Mystic Fall. Damon is sired to Katherine maybe. He did lust after her for 146 yrs and Has done everything Katherine has told him to since her return to the series.

Would you really want Stefan and Elena back? I DON’T and I prefer Stefan. The moment Elena slept with Damon, Stelena was over as far as I’m concerned. I want better for Stefan. I think he is good-hearted and he deserves better than this. I hope Elena stays with Damon – which I think is where the writers will go – and that Stefan is given somebody else to be happy with…If Stefan and Elena get back together I will hate it, for that would be so demeaning to Stefan’s character. If you are a true Stefan shipper you should not be hoping for him to take Elena back. IMO.

I reckon the secret is she tells Stefan about her and Damon, its been Katherine all along and they find the cure that Elena doesn’t want then ends up coming back as a spirit and gets back with Stefan :)

Folks the reason Elena cannot be with Daemon is pretty obvious isn’t it??? All of you want them to be together but if they do it will be nice and good for some episodes but sooner or later you will get tired of it and TVD will just be crap like the other series….For audience to dig it, Daemon has to be the bad guy although he love Elena and she has to be with Stefan……..

No, First off The sire bond between Elena and Damon was created because of her HUMAN feelings for Damon! The sire bond doesn’t affect any of Elena’s feelings, She loves him, that’s why she slept with him and thats why they broke up. Even Stelena’s know that! they can’t deny it because they said it in the show itself.

What do you base the Elena loves Damon on? She has feelings for him, she thinks she might be falling for him, bun not once in the series has she said the words. Damon knows how strong the sire bond is, he did have Charlotte counting bricks for 50 yrs. Tyler explained the sire in 3.10 as you do something because you feel it’s the right thing. You can’t separate feeling and actions.

Whatever it is, I seriously hope is that she doesn’t want the cure and wants to stay a vampire… I would not stand another season of human Elena..and never back with Stefan…horror!!! Damon always tells Elena the truth about his brother- when he saved his life, when he could he could be saved. It never benefits Damon, but he loves Elena and tells her the truth. Damon is impulsive, yes, an somehow Damon is demonized, but Amon had to shut out care because of his brother- Stefan turned him- forced him to, Stefan went crazy and h got sick of it, Damon had to watch his brother become the “ripper”, he even wanted to reunite with his brother, but Lexy convinced Damon he was bad for Stefan. Lexy “dries” Stefan out…..but Stefan always loses it at some point. Damon cares about his brother and ants to teach him how to accept who he is, adapt and control his bloodlust. Damon does impulsive, stupid things and acts like he doesn’t care, but he does care. I think Stefan does love Katherine, but hates being a vampire so much that he can’t love her. Katherine loves him, too, but she is also selfish……but, she’s starting to soften up. I’m betting Stefan gets with Katherine eventually, but maybe first he and Caroline…… Amon belongs with Elena. She is hat he THOUGHT Katherine was. She makes him a happier, better person, and he brings her to life.

for all you stelena fans that like to point out that elena has yet to say those 3 little words to damon and think that the reason she hasn’t is cuz she doesn’t…WAKE UP!!! unlike the 2 episodes it took for stelena to profess their undying love for each other and the 10 episodes it took THEM to hit the sheets, delena has and means so much more. unlike stelena, the writers are actually taking the time to give delena what stelena NEVER had which is the time and effort they actually spent on delena’s story developement and journey UNLIKE stelena!! you thought she would NEVER sleep with him and she did (and if you think the sire bond is really the reason..then whatever helps you sleep at night). and she WILL tell him she loves him and she WILL mean it and it will have NOTHING to do with the sire bond!! why the hell would she EVER go back to stefan when in the center of all this she sees for herself that damon will love and accept her as a human or as a vampire..as he always has and has also realized that stefan wants to “FIX” her and obviously can’t love her unconditionally!! who in their right mind would think these 2 people belonged together? the answer..team stefan NOT team stelena! damon and elena challenge each other accept each other and make each other better people and for all those reasons and so much more is why they belong together!!
