The ‘Twilight’ actress claims that she’s not abnormal after having an affair with a married man. Do you believe her?
Kristen Stewart may have gotten a lot of slack after she cheated on Robert Pattinson this past summer, but she insists in a new interview that she’s just a “sensitive, contemporary normal girl.”
K-Stew has been busy promoting On The Road, released on Dec. 21, and one specific interview attempted to compare her character MaryLou’s life to Kristen’s.
Kristen told Indiewire, “[MaryLou’s] not in the forefront of the story, she is on the outskirts, you didn’t really know what is in her head and in her heart when the whole story is being told in the novel. I think getting to know the woman behind the character, to be able to connect the dots — because I am a sensitive, contemporary normal girl who definitely was leagues behind her in terms of being comfortable with herself and life — she had that and she was so young. That’s not a teenaged thing, to be completely motivated by the fears in life rather than crippled by them. So that’s why it’s really a very good thing that I grew up a couple of years — I was 20 by the time the movie was made. Even though she was 16 when the story starts, I was a younger 16, I just didn’t have it yet.”
Perhaps Kristen’s description of MaryLou could be compared to her affair with Rupert Sanders. At 22-years-old, Kristen appeared to be motivated by her fears, rather than crippled by them. It took guts to cheat on R-Patz. It was risky, and Kristen paid the price — for a short period of time. Either way, Kristen’s courage grew as she aged and that’s what she seems to be explaining in this recent interview.

In my opinion, KS isn’t some intriguing paradox. She’s so intelligent, but in every interview, she’s struggling to complete a sentence and is disrespectfully vulgar? Maybe she isn’t that smart. She’s so honest and true to herself, yet she cheated with her married director when her boyfriend clearly adores her. Maybe she’s just a liar. On top of that, her arrogance suggests that she’s probably not going to change, so good luck to RP or whoever is in a relationship with her.
