Uh oh! Did new ‘Bachelor’ Sean Lowe just admit that the ABC franchise is fake and contrived? Read his tweet!
Sean Lowe happily attended Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum’s wedding on Dec. 1, which later aired on ABC on Dec. 16. However, in a recent tweet sent AFTER the wedding, Sean tells the groom that he hopes to meet him soon. Huh?
“@JP_Rosenbaum @jason_mesnick Lol! I forgot to say thanks for plugging my abs. And JP hope to meet you soon bud,” Sean tweeted on December 17 — 16 days after he attended Ashley and J.P.’s wedding on December 1.
Sean, who is set to debut as the new Bachelor with season 17 on January 7, attended the nuptials alongside other Bachelor/Bachelorette alumni such as Jason and Molly Mesnick, Ali Fedotowsky, Roberto Martinez, Emily Maynard, Michelle Money, Michael Stagliano, DeAnna Stagliano, and Trista and Ryan Sutter.
While we’re certainly not claiming that Ashley and J.P.’s marriage is fake, it appears as though the appearance of the wedding was not 100% accurate. Since ABC filmed the wedding, they may have had a bit of creative control over the nuptials — potentially creating the guest list, providing the wedding rings via Neil Lane and choosing a number of other factors such as Ashley’s dress, cake and color scheme. Why not take the opportunity to pimp out the next Bachelor or put a spotlight on the franchise’s small number of successful relationships (ie Jason and Molly’s pregnancy as well as Ryan and Trista’s 9-year marriage)?
If the wedding was a bit fake, could the entire franchise be contrived? We may never know. Either way, I’ll still be watching — I can’t deny that.
Do YOU think The Bachelor franchise is fake, HollywoodLifers? Do you care?
