‘The X Factor’ judge is speaking out, and shockingly, it’s not his act who he thinks will win the competition!
Britney Spears and her final contestant Carly Rose Sonenclar, 13, look like the frontrunners to win tonight’s finale of The X Factor — even rival judge Simon Cowell thinks so!
“Of all the people I’ve ever worked with, she is one of the most focused individuals,” Simon told the New York Daily News.
“The smart money is on Carly or Tate, but the girls seem to have picked up momentum in the last two weeks — there might be an upset here,” he continued. “What we have is a very interesting finale coming up. It’s really a representation of what this show is all about: You have a construction worker, a hardworking group and a super kid who is not human.”
Simon coaches the group Fifth Harmony, who some say are the underdog, but last night L.A. Reid said they are the one to beat.
“It should be very interesting to watch,” Simon continued.
It’s no secret that whoever wins, the final three acts — Carly, Fifth Harmony and Tate Stevens – might all get record deals. Carly, a native of Westchester, NY, is already a huge star! She spoke about her new found fame.
“It’s definitely been a little weird to adjust to,” Carly told the Daily News. “The fact that my life has completely changed over the course of a couple months is so hard to fathom.”
Our Editor in Chief Bonnie Fuller believes that Carly should win, while our Reporter Russ Weakland believes Fifth Harmony should be crowned!

It’s getting really hard to say who will win; honestly I think they should all win. They’re just entirely really different, so it will just depend on what America likes. I think that Carly is, like Simon said, not human, she’s so talented. I also love the new idea of having a fun, energetic, talented girl group. Like Simon said I think they work really hard and could really work well. My DISH coworker and I have enjoyed this season. I’m glad I recorded it on my DISH Hopper with the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I like to set this up to record all primetime programming that comes on the four major networks, without having to set up any individual timers.
