The boy of 1D returned to the ‘X Factor’ stage for one final performance this season. Relive the majesty!

The X Factor crowned its second-ever winning act Dec. 20, and what would a grand finale be without an appearance from the biggest success to come from the show’s original U.K. version? One Direction drove the ladies bananas with an energetic rendition of their latest hit “Kiss You,” all the while getting extra attention from X Factor judge Demi Lovato. (She may say she’s not interested in Niall Horan, but you can’t spell “deniall” without “niall!”)

Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall looked dapper as they dominated a giant pair of red lips on the stage, giving Directioners one more reason to get excited for the official “Kiss You” video, rumored to be hitting the web in early January.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the four boys — sorry, five, I always forget about Liam — have graced the X Factor stage this season. They performed their hit single “Live While We’re Young,” while giant hearts flashed in the background, then toned down the mood for an emotional rendition of “Little Things.”

And when Taylor Swift performed on The X Factor in November, she spent her off-stage time getting to know Harry better.

“Taylor Swift was the special guest performer, and [here's] a little inside scoop for you,” Mario Lopez revealed on his radio show. “During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back, and said, ‘Hey, Mario, how ya doing?’ And I said, ‘What are you doing here?’ And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor.”
