If ‘The X Factor’ is about having the x-factor — that special something that means you’re a STAR — then Carly Rose, with her Adele-like pipes, has it in spades!
When Britney Spears told her mentee Carly Rose Sonenclar that she was “a pop princess,” and that Simon Cowell should write her a ” $5 million check right now,” she was right!
Simon, L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato and the world should see the obvious: Carly Rose is a star in the making!
Simon, you’ve made stars before. You know how to do it. All you need with Carly Rose is the right song that shows off her incredible, emotionally soaring vocals, and you have a No. 1 hit.
Her voice is as strong as Adele‘s, Stevie Nicks or Mariah Carey. She looks a little like Fiona Apple or Alanis Morissette, so she can go that thoughtful, soulful girl signer route, too.
She’s cute, she’s relatable, and she sounds and looks like a young woman, not a 13 year old.
Plus, she has presence; she commands the stage and the TV screen, and that’s essential for stardom.
Carly Rose Sonenclar Can Have Carly Rae Jepson-sized Hits?
Does she have the marketability of a Britney, a Demi or a Selena Gomez? Absolutely!
Give her the right song, and she’ll be every teen girl’s idol with an anthem that they’ll all have to have.
As all the X Factor judges know, young women are a powerful, music-buying audience, and they’ve powered the success of stars like Justin Bieber, Carly Jae Jepsen, One Direction, Rihanna and Adele.
Surely it makes huge sense to pick a super talented X Factor-winner that will appeal to this star-making group.
Tate Stevens is a terrific country singer and deserves to have a career, but he’s never going to have the wide hit-making possibilities that Carly Rose has.
He doesn’t have the country-crossover-appeal that’s worked so successfully for Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Keith Urban or Tim McGraw. Great voice, but he’s not Mr. Sex Appeal.
Fifth Harmony is No One Direction:
Then there’s Fifth Harmony, who I’ve tried hard to love, but I just can’t in my wildest imagination see as the next Spice Girls, Pussycat Dolls or Wilson Phillips.
First of all, except for their one great rendition of “Anything Can Happen,” they don’t harmonize. They constantly sound like five individual singers desperately competing to each show off their vocals. They aren’t a cohesive group with a vision of what they are and how they want to sound, like Emblem3, which unfortunately lost out in the semi finals.
Meanwhile, Carly Rose always knows how she wants to sound. She gives every song she sings her own beautiful individual take whether it’s Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” last night or her version of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me,” which HollywoodLife.com readers voted as better than Justin’s by 59 to 41 percent.
So come on, America, vote for the most talented star on the X Factor — Carly Rose Sonenclar — and just wait for her first No. 1 hit.
