Selena was caught cozying up to a mystery man on Dec. 16 who gushed about her dance moves! Do YOU think she is trying to make Justin jealous?
Not long after dumping ex-boyfriend and badboy Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez had a fun night out on Dec. 16 with some of her fellow UNICEF Ambassador friends, including the sexy Ronan Farrow, 25 — and the two were snapped in an intimate pic together!
Who is Ronan Farrow?
Ronan, the only biological child of famed film director Woody Allen, 77, and Rosemary’s Baby actress Mia Farrow, 67, was a former Youth Advocate for UNICEF, and he worked to spread AIDS awareness in Africa. He has been a strong political activist ever since — and even works for Secretary of State Hilary Clinton as the United States’ first Special Adviser for Global Youth Issues. Ronan has quite an impressive resume, as he is also a Rhodes Scholar. This is the world’s most prestigious scholarship. Other famous Rhodes Scholars include Bill Clinton, Kris Kristofferson and Rachel Maddow.
HollywoodLife.com spoke to Ronan’s rep and this is what she said:
“[Ronan] is a very accomplished young man. In addition to being a journalist and writing for Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and other papers, he recently concluded four years as a senior official in Hillary Clinton’s State Department, during which time he founded the Office of Global Youth Issues and led our response to the Arab Spring revolutions. He departed in order to begin a Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford where he is writing on a book. Also, he was voted to Forbes’ 30 Most Influential Under 30 list for the second year running.”
No wonder he and Selena, who is a UNICEF Ambassador, get along so well!
Ronan, who is estranged from his famous father, currently lives in New York City, where Selena recently attended the UNICEF Snowflake Ball on Nov. 27.
Ronan’s birthday is Dec. 19, and he, Selena, Katy Perry and Raising Hope actress Shannon Woodward were celebrating when the picture was taken. He tweeted “Joint ugly sweater bday with @shannonwoodward and our chaperone @katyperry. We laughed. We cried. Shannon hit puberty.”
Those sweaters aren’t that ugly!
Flirting with Selena?
Ronan then took to Twitter on Dec. 18 to gush about Selena: “Do not challenge the lovely @selenagomez to a dance-off. You will lose,” he wrote. Selena, who is believed to have been in L.A. at the time, looks cozy and comfortable with the 25-year-old lawyer, and even tries to plant a kiss on his cheek!
Even though it’s only been a few days since Selena and Justin split on Dec. 15 — she dumped him after being tired of his playboy ways — she has wasted no time moving on. She and Justin have not been seen together since, so their relationship status is currently up in the air.
As previously reported by HollywoodLife.com, Selena is said to have dumped Justin because she is furious that he befriended her ex Nick Jonas. “Hanging out with Nick proved that he wants to just be a jerk about this, and Selena’s sick of being heartbroken,” our source told us exclusively. “They are finished, and I think it’s for good this time.”
Selena was spotted having lunch with a female friend at Hooters in L.A. on Dec. 17, and she also has been hanging out with BFF Ashley Tisdale at her production company’s Christmas party!
But on Dec. 16, it appeared she was warming up to someone new! Or at least, snap a cozy pic to make Justin jealous! Perhaps it would be good for Selena to date a more mature guy, as she has had problems dealing with Justin’s immaturity in the past. And considering that Ronan was named one of Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30, he seems like quite a catch!
