On Dec. 18, Cassadee reigned victorious as she became the first female winner of ‘The Voice.’ And it’s not just her mentor Blake Shelton who is thrilled! Judges Adam and Christina Aguilera spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about Cassadee’s amazing win, and offered her their advice.
As predicted by HollywoodLife.com, Cassadee Pope won the third season of The Voice! After her dynamic performance of “I’m With You” with Avril Lavigne, it was clear who was going to take home the record contract, the money, oh, and a car! Cassadee is on her way to a big and bright future, and Adam Levine has some advice for her — strike while the iron is hot. Adam and Christina Aguilera offered Cassadee some sage words of advice, and Adam thinks that she should “release a single right now!” Read on for all the details.
Adam’s Advice For Cassadee
Cassadee broke down in tears when she was announced as the winner, and it was clear that she and her mentor Blake Shelton were delighted. And he wasn’t the only one, as Adam said that she “excelled” in the competition.
“It was her moment, she got a free car, s**t, I didn’t get a free car!” Adam told us. “But it’s cool when you see some of the people that came back on tonight’s show, it was like d*mn, anyone could have won this… It was really that Cassadee excelled at the best times but everybody is so talented on this show, to a certain extent it is a cr*p shoot.”
Adam said that he and Christina had both wanted Cassadee on their team: “I’m happy, even though it wasn’t anyone from my team! Christina and I chose Cassadee, but she didn’t chose us, so we all kind of chose the winner, d*mn it!”
Adam offered his wise advice to Cassadee, as he said she must “Release a single right now! To wait more then a couple weeks would be a huge mistake! If I was working with her I would have her come out with a single right now!”
Adam has had a pretty impressive musical career, so Cassadee should listen to his advice!
Christina Weighs In
Christina echoed Adam’s sentiments when she said that Cassadee should “Enjoy the moment, because it’s going to go away really fast, everything in your life, especially as an artist you have to enjoy every second and love it and live it!”
Speaking about the results, Christina said that all contestants were capable of winning, but that it was Cassadee’s remarkable progress that nabbed her the win.
“It’s not if the right person won, it’s just weird going into something like this — imagine it was the Grammys,” said Christina. “How can you really judge in a creative world who is better than another person, you know? I think week by week, Cassadee got vocally stronger and I think we all recognized that and rooted her on! Everybody won a car! She chose the right song at the right time! She showed she is a little bit of country and country pop!”

Could we take the freaking asterisk off of “crap shoot” and make “craps” plural (it’s “craps shoot”)? It’s not a bad word; it’s a dice game.
