Fans of ‘The Voice’ got their first preview of the upcoming spring season and its new coaches Usher and Shakira with a hilarious commercial that aired during the finale on Dec. 18! Watch the preview below!
Season four of The Voice is poised to see the series’ first casting shake-up, with original coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green sitting this one out. The show hoped to calm fans worried about the chemistry of the altered coaching panel, debuting the first commercial with replacement coaches Usher and Shakira during the Dec. 18 finale!
While the first look didn’t offer any actual footage of the new coaches judging blind auditions, which have already begun taping, it allowed the two newbies an opportunity to goof off with mainstays Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. In the clip, Blake and Adam pick their new cohorts up at a hotel in Blake’s truck, towing an iconic big, red chair. During their drive, the four all-stars bicker over music choices on the radio before settling on a surprising choice that they all could agree with, and sing along to!
Be on the look out for a silly cameo at the end of the commercial. Don’t worry, we won’t spoil it for you!
Rihanna’s Performance On The Finale
Earlier in the program, Rihanna stopped by to grace the studio audience, and fans at home, with a luscious performance of her hit single “Diamonds”. As strands of lights hung from the ceiling, representing the “diamonds in the sky” referenced in her song, RiRi belted out her hit — and looked stunning as she did so!
She wore a black pantsuit, belted at the waist, that allowed for plenty of exposed cleavage. However, the pop star went the more demure route, opting for a large necklace to cover much of her exposed skin. She looked great!
