In the final Gossip Girl episode, entitled “New York I Love You, XOXO,” fans swooned all across the world when in a flash-forward scene at the very end of the episode, Serena van der Woodsen wed boyfriend Dan Humphrey in one of the most romantic moments in television history!

Before the wedding scene, viewers finally find out the identity of Gossip Girl, who is none other than Dan himself. He reveals the reason he became Gossip Girl in the first place was to win Serena over. Looks like his plan prevailed!
After stopping Serena (Blake Lively) from getting on the plane to LA, Dan (Penn Badgley) begins to tell her the truth about his past. There’s a flashback to his first Upper East Side Party where he ended up by accident. But he tells Serena he couldn’t leave the party after setting eyes on her. ‘You’re nobody unless you’re talked about,’ he tells her.
However, Dan stops short of telling Serena the truth and instead hands the final chapter of his novel revealing his true identity to Nate and his newspaper Spectator.

This updo is a frizzy mess. I agree that it is true to Serena’s style, but I would never call it an updo ‘fit for a Queen…’ more like fit for a party girl who just rolled out of bed. I love the show and I think the style fits the character, but indicates Serena hasn’t matured as much as some of the others in the flash forward.
