There’s no doubt in my mind that when the winner of season three of ‘The Voice’ is announced tonight, it will be Cassadee’s name that host Carson Daly reads! Do you agree?

Season three of The Voice comes to its eventual close with a two-hour extravaganza tonight, Dec. 18. While there are three artists hoping to hear their name read by Carson Daly at the close of the show, I am absolutely certain that it’s Cassadee Pope who will be crowned the season’s victor!

The two men battling it out with her, Nicholas David and Terry McDermott, are both powerhouses in their own right, but they just don’t stand a chance at toppling Cassadee. First, there’s the simple fact that, as the former lead singer of Hey Monday, Cassadee came into the game with recognition and a fan base. Whether or not that’s fair, it’s the reality of the situation.

But beyond all that, Cassadee delivered more consistently and endeared herself to so many more new fans throughout the season that her initial fame probably didn’t even matter much. Under the expert tutelage of coach Blake Shelton (who steered Jermaine Paul to victory last season), Cassadee left behind her early pop-rock sound and embraced a luscious country-pop persona that fit her like a glove.

The Performance That Changed The Game

When she took the stage in mid-November, as part of the top 10, to sing “Over You,” penned by Blake himself and originally recorded by his wife Miranda Lambert, America saw a side to Cassadee that it hadn’t yet. She was engaged with the emotional lyrical content of the song, selling it incredibly well. It was a moment that changed how the audience saw her, and also helped her reach the iTunes top 10 chart for the first time.

Since that performance, every single performance of hers but for one has charted within the top 10 on iTunes, something neither of her competitors have come close to. Nick and Terry put up a good fight and will no doubt be very successful with the exposure the show has given them, but this season is Cassadee’s to win, plain and simple.

Do you agree with me that Cassadee will win tonight, HollywoodLifers?
