The baby boy, the first for the actress, is reportedly named Calin.
“We’re all doing wonderfully. It was an amazing experience and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new arrival. xoxoxoxoxo!!!!!” the proud mom added.
Although it is unclear who the father is, or who Samaire (if anyone) has been dating, the comments on her Facebook suggest there is a father figure involved.
Regardless, it sounds like she is one happy mom — and can’t wait to spend the holidays with her healthy baby boy!
Samaire, who plays Summer Edgecombe on the hit TV series The Mentalist, is also known for her roles as Juliet Darling on the TV series Dirty Sexy Money, and as Anna Stern on the hit teen drama The O.C.
Although she works a lot in film — some of her best roles were in Around June and Just My Luck — she isn’t opposed to doing more TV roles.
“There used to be more of a prestige to say that you were a film actor than a TV actor. I think that’s a very passe way of thinking now. I think there’s such quality projects on television now,” she told Shockya.com. “I’ve also become attached to the people I work with. So if you’re lucky enough to have a show that’s withstanding several seasons, you don’t have to say goodbye within six weeks to three months.”
Sounds like she has an equally exciting role a mother now too to add to her resume!
