AMC has released a trailer for their brand new drama ‘Bates Motel.’ But make sure all the lights are on before you press play because it’s creepy and oh so scary!
The Premise Of ‘Bates Motel’
The Masterminds Behind ‘Bates Motel’
On top of Freddie and Vera’s presence on the series, the new drama will be executive produced by LOST mastermind Carlton Cuse and Friday Night Lights’ Kerry Ehrin. Nester Carbonell, best known as the ageless Richard Alpert on LOST will also join cast alongside Freddie, Vera and newcomer Max Thieriot, who plays Norman’s rebellious older brother, Dylan.
“When I knew Carlton was doing it, I knew it was gonna be sensational,” Nester, who plays a suspicious town sheriff, recently told E!. “He sent me the first six scripts, and I was blown away.”
“This town looks really beautiful on the outside,” Carlton says in the preview clip below, “but underneath it is something very dark and malevolent.”
More Reasons To Watch The New AMC Series
Don’t expect to see a a redo of the original film. This series will feel fresh and inventive.
“It’s certainly not a replica of the film in any way,” Nester told E! of the series. “It’s really a re-imagining because it’s in present-day times. The motel, and some of the issues, are the same but the world they live in is radically different.”
The series will shed a light on the twisted relationship between Norman and his mother — before he turns into a cross-dressing, serial killer.
