President Obama’s Address To A Saddened Country

On Dec. 14, President Barack Obama addressed a shaken and frightened nation, speaking not as a politician, but as a fellow parent. Overcome with his own grief, he had to take a moment to regain his composure and wipe tears from his eyes. “Tonight Michelle and I will do what I know every parent in America will do, we will hug our children a little tighter. And we will tell them that we love them,” he said.

Our thoughts remain with the victims who lost their lives, their suffering families, and the shaken community of Newtown, CT. We can’t imagine what they are feeling.

What do you think of this horrific situation, HollywoodLifers? Will this town ever recover? Will we as a nation?

I Imagined if this was to happen to my family I have four children and I think I kill myself if this happened to me. I admire those who lost their family and still strong my heart goes out to all who’ve been lost and hurt.

As a retired Texas teacher, my heart breaks that our nation’s children can no longer feel safe at their schools. Security systems are needed in every school in the United States immediately; if we, as a nation, can support those countries that hate us, we can secure our schools and protect OUR precious children of all ages! Gun control is a must, also! My thoughts and prayers are with all the families during this very, very sad time.
