Megan Fox Sizzled In Wine-Colored Lips: How To Steal The Look

The actress looked incredibly glamorous in a warm red lipstick for the premiere of Universal Pictures’ ‘This Is 40′ at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on December 12 in Hollywood, California–Here’s how you can copy the look!

Megan Fox, 26, was the epitome of sex appeal in a dark wine lipstick that brought all the attention to her pout and made her piercing blue eyes pop. The look in glamorous and sophisticated yet incredibly sultry at the same time. Wearing a darker, almost cabernet-hued color like Megan’s is a softer way to wear red without being too overpowering.

To copy Megan’s lip look, try MAC lipstick in Chili. Consider the lighting. The deep, warm shade flatters all skin tones. Either use a small lip brush or apply to lips directly from the tube for the most precise application. Most likely, with a deep shade, you won’t need to use an accompanying lip liner. But if you want the look to stay put longer, line your lips in a shade that matches your lips, rather than a red lip liner. Then dab some concealer around the perimeter of your lips so the formula won’t bleed. To keep it from migrating to your teeth, purse your lips around your finger and pull out so that any excess will come off on your finger rather than your teeth.

Generally, fair skin tones look best in blue-based reds, while warmer skin tones are a better fit for a warmer, more brown-based red. Try on several options and step into natural lighting to get an accurate feel for the color of the lipstick. Sometimes, the harsh, more flourescent lighting in a department store can give you a false sense of the color you are trying. Step outside for a truer color.
