2013 is going to start off on an amazing note! New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will feature performances by some of the biggest stars in the world, including Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Psy!
At 8:00pm, the show will start with a two hour tribute to Dick Clark, hosted by Jenny McCarthy. Mr. Clark created and hosted Rockin’ Eve from 1975 until 2004, when he suffered a stroke. He returned in a smaller capacity, alongside Ryan Seacrest, from 2006 to 2012. He died in April 2012. In a press release, ABC said the special “celebrates, through clips and reminiscences, the legendary television personality and producer who rang in the New Year for four decades and launched and nurtured the careers of countless artists. Ryan Seacrest also joins the hosts for a special appearance in honor of Dick Clark.”
At 10:00pm, Ryan will take over. He will be stationed in Times Square under the iconic ball! Taylor Swift will headline, and Psy will perform his mega-hit “Gangnam Style.” Carly Rae Jepsen and Neon Trees will also be in Times Square.
Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas will host the West Coast show. Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding, The Wanted, Jason Aldean, Brandy, Flo Rida, Karmin, One Republic, Pitbull and Greyson Chance will all perform from Los Angeles! What an amazing lineup!
With so many amazing performers, who do you think will put you in the partying mood, HollywoodLifers?

This is going to be a great, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve this year. I’m pleased that this special will honor Dick Clark; I remember watching when he was the main host of the special. I’m also looking forward to seeing all of the performances; from Carly Rae Jepsen, Brandy, The Wanted and PSY, to name a few. My DISH coworker first told me who would be performing, I’ll definitely be watching! I’m having people over tomorrow so we’ll be watching on my DISH Hopper. We’ll be able to start watching it live on my living room TV and then continue watching on my family room TV right where we left off. Everyone will get to see the ball drop!
