The Duchess of Cambridge is still suffering from the illness that hospitalized her last week. The mother-to-be is backing out of ‘The Hobbit’ premiere in favor of rest. And we don’t blame her! Read on for all the details, HollywoodLifers!
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, 30, will no longer be able to attend the London premiere of The Hobbit. Kate, who was hospitalized Dec. 3 for Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a form of acute morning sickness, will be resting at home instead of stunning on the red carpet.
Although Kate will be at home resting, her husband and Duke of Cambridge Prince William, 30, will still attend the event. The premiere, which will be held at the Odeon Cinema in London’s Leicester Square, is the official 65th Royal Film Performance and is the principle fundraiser for The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF). CTBF supports film and television industry employees and their families in times of hardship.
Kate was released from King Edward VII Hospital in London on Dec. 6 and was given anti-sickness tablets and instructed to rest.
Even though Kate has not been at recent events with Prince William, he is staying by Kate’s side as much as he can. The Prince attempted to make light of his wife’s illness at a tennis gala in London where he said: ‘They shouldn’t call it morning sickness as it’s all day and all night sickness.’
He even canceled a planned appearance at the British Military Tournament at Earl’s Court when Kate became sick again. The couple is resting quietly at Nottingham Cottage, the home they share on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Thankfully, Kate’s condition is not deemed serious enough to send her to the hospital again. St James’s Palace spokesman said: “It is well known that hyperemesis gravidarum often recurs and, until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments associated with it.”
We hope the Duchess feels better, and we’re sending all our best wishes to her and Prince William! We think it’s absolutely understandable Kate cannot make it to The Hobbit premiere. She clearly needs her rest! But tell us what you think, HollywoodLifers?

that’s the type of Beast Hyperpermesis is and Duchess Catherine didn’t want to risk a puking episode at a public event.
