Robert Pattinson: You're Great To Respect Kristen Stewart's Career

Rob wasn’t by Kristen’s side at the Dec. 7 ‘On The Road’ screening in San Francisco — he’s showing his love by staying behind-the-scenes — and I think that’s the best way to do it! Here’s why.

Robert Pattinson, 26, was a no-show at Kristen Stewart‘s most recent screening for On The Road, but I think that’s fine, and here’s why.

An insider at the On The Road screening tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY:

“Rob and Kristen have been hoping to take the focus off of their relationship and put it on the movies. It’s important to Kristen to not have relationship drama following her all of the time. They’re moving away from Twilight and onto different projects, and even though he WANTED to be there, it was better for him to lay low.”

“Kristen had a great time with the cast,” our eyewitness added. “And her relationship with Rob is still strong — they’re young and in love.”

I think it’s amazing that Rob is supporting Kristen in such a low-key way — that’s something that they would do and it feels very real and genuine.

I think it shows Rob has amazing respect for her career and her life! It’s important for couples to have separate interests and ambitions, and Rob leaving Kristen to do her own thing shows maturity.

Rob was obviously devastated after Kristen’s affair this summer, but he recently spoke out to Seventeen Espanol, admitting he believes in true love.

“Definitely, yes. It sounds cheesy, but I see it with my parents. My dad met my mom when she was 17 and they’re still happily together,” adding, “I believe in keeping your family and friends close, because they’ll treat you the same no matter what. Real relationships are not affected by whatever happens in life. Knowing that you’ll always keep something special no matter what happens is something that has made an impact in my life. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve received in life.”

I think it’s telling that Rob, who was humiliated and embarrassed after Kristen’s affair — was able to forgive her. He must truly, truly love her.

At the same time, he must be so sensitive to her feelings. By not showing up, he made sure the attention was on Kristen, her work and her career.

I think it’s obvious they both want to move on from Twilight and shift the attention from their real-life love to their work and their other, individual projects.

As much as we love seeing Rob and Kristen together, I think letting Kristen shine on her own was a very selfless and sweet thing for Rob to do.

thank HL for putting in every articles a quote about what happen in july, just remember that since us weekly released the pics, Rob and Kristen are more happy and strong than ever, sometimes you need to go through hell to be more strong, happy, faithfull, now can you move on it s been 6 month and really it s boring,even them have move on and i don t thing everyone think of monica lewinsky when they heard clinton, no?

It wasnt pattinson though… and still there was no need for her to cheat on him she could have left him first then self distracted.

I think the best thing he can do for his career is avoid her events whenever possible. The 17 article was a phony. They just pasted together old quotes of his from before Stewart’s affair. I’m sure he is sensitive to her feelings. He took her back, didn’t he? Too bad she isn’t sensitive to his, otherwise there wouldn’t have been numerous pictures of her swapping spit with Sanders while she was grinding on him back in July.

That would be the smart thing for him to do, however, he is a fool in love. He won’t stop to think.

I think you’re a moron. It’s a screening. There have been 20 of these things Rob is OBVIOUSLY not going to every award season screening. Nor does Anne Hathaway’s husband just to name an example. But pls keep making up “sources” you guys are the joke of the entertainment world so why stop now?
