In a shocking new interview, Rob reveals that he still believes in the power of love, even after suffering through Kristen’s summer affair with Rupert Sanders.

The biggest scandal to happen in Hollywood this year was the revelation of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders‘ affair last summer. Kristen and her long term love Robert Pattinson separated, but after some time to heal, our favorite couple has reunited. Now in a revealing new interview, Rob reveals that he “definitely” still believes in a love that lasts a lifetime. So sweet! Read on for all the details.

Rob was asked “Do you believe in the power of love, a love that lasts a lifetime like in the movies?” by Seventeen Espanol, and his answer was adorable. He said, “Definitely, yes. It sounds cheesy, but I see it with my parents. My dad met my mom when she was 17 and they’re still happily together.” Aww!

Rob’s parents are obviously his relationship role models, as he also admitted that he was lucky not to be a child of divorce. He says that their relationship is “rather cute” and that ”most of the kids at my school had parents going through divorces. So it was great seeing my parents sticking together.”

Coincidentally, Kristen’s parents are going through a divorce right now.

Rob also said that if a relationship is real, it cannot be affected by the trials and tribulations of life, and that his relationship with Kristen is so special. Rob is so mature!

He says, “I believe in keeping your family and friends close, because they’ll treat you the same no matter what. Real relationships are not affected by whatever happens in life. Knowing that you’ll always keep something special no matter what happens is something that has made an impact in my life. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve received in life.”

Rob is obviously a wise guy, and it’s clear that he has his parents to thank for that. Rob and Kristen now seem happier than ever together, and they are even playing parents themselves, with their two dogs Bear and Bernie!
