Kristen admits being uncomfortable in public leads her to believe everyone is looking and laughing at her! See what else she said about the her slight fear of the fans in this new video interview.
Kristen Stewart has always appeared awkward and uncomfortable during interviews and in a new sit-down with Tavis Smiley, she admits that she wants to be able to stare at people, but because she’s famous, everyone is already staring at her!
Kristen admits she puts up with the madness that comes with the fandom because, “I really love what I do.”
But she admits that being in the pubic eye has its challenges.
“As an actor and just as a strange person, I want to be able to stare at people. I don’t want them staring at me. You want to be able to take people in. First impressions are a very different thing now, they don’t exist for me. That is odd.”
Kristen says she is most uncomfortable when people look at her without saying anything!
“It’s your attitude, it’s your perspective but sometimes I have to kick myself and go, they’re not laughing at you. They’re just smiling, but naturally, you look around and it’s like you’re back in school or something. People look over and it’s strange for them, I don’t know what it is. It’s a lot of laughter. I’m like, everyone is laughing at me. Literally, everyone is laughing. I feel like I’m in third grade or something.”
Despite Kristen’s general awkwardness in public, she’s been busy facing her fears and promoting upcoming projects on her own. On Dec. 7, she looked gorgeous at the Vanity Fair screening for On The Road at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in San Francisco with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson nowhere in sight.
