Fifth Harmony Should Win ‘The X Factor’

Fifth Harmony nailed their rendition of Mariah Carey’s ‘Anytime You Need A Friend’ on the Dec. 6 episode of ‘The X Factor,’ showing that they have the potential to win! Find out why I think the girl group should take home the prize on Dec. 20!

The final four contestants were revealed on the Dec. 6 episode of The X Factor, leaving Fifth Harmony to compete again Tate Stevens, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Emblem3 for the $5 million recording contract, which will be awarded to the winner on Dec. 20! I think Fifth Harmony NEEDS to win.

As Simon Cowell has said time and time again, there is a gap in the market for a girl group. Not since Destiny’s Child and The Pussycat Dolls has a girl group showcased the potential that Fifth Harmony possesses.

Sure, Fifth Harmony started off strong and then hit a rough patch, but this competition is all about grooming the perfect pop star. Oftentimes, a contestant is deemed the frontrunner from the very beginning and they end up losing in the end. Just ask Adam Lambert. A dark horse has a better shot at taking home the title!

I’ve watched Fifth Harmony improve themselves week after week and they absolutely NAILED IT on the Dec. 6 episode. Conquering a Mariah Carey song is a tough task. Not only did Fifth Harmony borrow the song, but they made it their own!

I’m sorry, but Tate and Emblem3 are very generic, copycats of artists already out there. Demi Lovato said it best the other day when critiquing Emblem3. She said, “It wasn’t the best. To me, honestly, I used to really, really love you guys, but to me I feel like it’s a downgraded version of The Jonas Brother five years ago.”

And yes, Carly Rose is great, but can she really become a successful selling pop star? It’s debatable.

My hope is that Fifth Harmony wins this season!

I think Fifth Harmony has more to offer than Carlie Rose. Carlie Rose is one dimensional where there is lot more creativity that can be had with Fifth Harmony. In any event, I think the group has huge potential to become pop stars. I love their personalities. I can see them making barbie dolls out of them, they are so beautiful.

Fifth Harmony isn’t entertaining. Yes they have good voices, but their performances are boring. They stand or sit in one place and sing the same songs over and over again. If you’re looking for an entertaining, fun, and at the same time talented girl group, listen to Little Mix. Carly or Tate is gonna win and Emblem3 will be third it’s obvious.

ok the lady is this video is annoying as all get out. she talks about how fifth harmony only sings slow songs and has not sung an up tempo song. correction lady they sang demi lovato’s give your heart a break so get off it. carly rose sonenclar has only sang slow songs that are not age appropriate. the xfactor winner should be an artist that sells tons of records. a 13 year old singing about things she hasn’t experienced is not going to do that. go fifth harmony, i bet we see you for many many years!

The same arguments the lady made about Fifth Harmony in the video could also be made about Carly Rose. What upbeat songs has Carly sang that would make YOU want to get up and dance? Yes, she has a good voice (especially for a 13 year old), but to me, she is not that entertaining. Plus, Fifth Harmony has done upbeat songs like “Give You’re Heart A Break” and smashed it. I think Fifth Harmony should win but they probably won’t do to many Country fans voting for Tate.

I think Fifth Harmony should win. There is no girl groups left and there is a place for them in the market. I would buy their cd. I think they are all Amazing and there hasn’t been one bad performance from Fifth Harmony to me….. There All Amazing

they shouldn’t win Tate or Carly should win. Although i dislike demi i agree with her, Like only one of them or a couple or even more of them should just become a solo artist. Plus when they harmonize you can only hear like 2 or 3 them harmonize together good. Other than that i think they’re not a really good girl band together. My vote is on Carly or Tate.

YES, THEY SHOULD WIN AND THEY WILL. It’s unfair how x-factor usa was rushed and needed to eliminate 2 acts every week, if it wasn’t rushed fifth harmony would have had a lot of time to improve and become the next big thing! AND THEY DID MANAGE TO IMPROVE. WEEK AFTER WEEK THEY’RE THE ONLY ONES THAT TOOK RISKS AND THEIR PERFORMANCES VARY, UNLIKE EMBLEM3 AND CARLY ROSE. CARLY CAN SING VERY WELL THERE’S NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT BUT SHE HAS NO CHARISMA AND HER STAGE PRESENCE IS DULL AND SHE’S ONLY 13 AND HER SONG CHOICES ARE VERY PREDICTABLE. THERE IS NO “WOW FACTOR” ABOUT THIS GIRL EXCEPT HOW SHE HAS A BROADWAY VOICE FOR A 13 YEAR OLD. I HONESTLY CANNOT PICTURE MYSELF HER BEING A BIG SUPERSTAR. I CAN SEE HER IN GLEE OR IN DISNEY BUT THATS IT. AND EMBLEM3.. THEY’RE STRUGGLING TO FIND WHO THEY ARE AND THEY’VE BEEN TOGETHER FOREVER BUT FIFTH HARMONY? THEY SEEM LIKE THEY’VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOREVER EVEN IF THEY WERE ONLY PUT TOGETHER IN BOOTCAMP. THESE GIRLS HAVE IT ALL, IT’S A SHAME HOW AMERICA DOESN’T SEE IT. THESE GIRLS WILL GO FAR, TRUST ME.

Ther is no market for Fifth Harmony. They will not succeed out in the “real world.” They are not going to sell to a mainstream audience. There are no girl groups, nor have there been for over a decade, and its not a coincidence either. Nobody is looking for. Or hoping for the next Spice Girls. They also have no stage presence, no charisma, no ability to work the stage, no attitude, no mystery. They are flat and uninspiring. Nobody wants to pay to see them stand around and do nothing while they sing these songs. They should have finished no better then 10th. Simon for obvious reasons has too much influence on this show and his acts are always elevated more then they deserve to be. Fifth Harmony will finish 4th.

I disagree with this comment on so many levels. Destiny’s Child, Danity Kane, 3LW… All successful girl groups. The main reason there’s a gap in the market right now isn’t because girl groups are unmarketable. It’s because all the ones that existed broke up quickly. I think if any girl group has a chance to have any longevity in the market, it’s 5H. They’re extremely young, fresh, beautiful, and most importantly, talented. Each one of those girls have the singing chops, which separates them from most girl groups who rely on a “star” player. Not to mention that majority of their fanbase have related with them on a personal level due to fun behind the scenes footage and interviews. Young girls are looking for role models nowadays. They have the boybands to fawn over, but it’s been a while since there’s been a group of girls to look up to. That very fact is what made Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez so big in the last 5 years. And it’s the same reason these girls have a big chance in being relevant in today’s world of music and pop culture.
