The ‘Teen Mom 2′ star got married on Dec. 4 in a shocking courthouse ceremony just hours after her then-fiance Courtland was charged with a felony! Read on to find out why he was in court.
It’s been one crazy week for Jenelle Evans and her new hubby Courtland Rogers. The two spent the majority of their day on Dec. 4 at the courthouse — first for Courtland’s felony charges, and later to tie the knot!
But Courtland’s charges for “obtaining property by false pretenses” remained a mystery — until now.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Jenelle’s man pulled a tricky move at a retail store, and they were NOT happy.
“Courtland is accused of taking a gift card back to a store and attempting [to] cash it in, but according to the store the gift card was never purchased, so that raised a red flag,” the source told RadarOnline.
Luckily for Teen Mom 2 star, who is no stranger to legal problems, her new husband insists he’s innocent.
“Check my records. I have not been in any trouble for the past seven years until recently. I have had somebody take false charges out on me, but that’s OK because I am innocent, so I will be OK,” he wrote on Jenelle’s personal website jaceandjenelle.com.
We hope he is cleared of the charges!

You can’t bring a gift card anywhere and say you want the cash value of it. The only way you get cash back, at some stores, is if the balance left on the card is under $5
