The Wanted got wrapped up in Lindsay’s latest arrest after she allegedly got in a fight that reportedly started over band member Max, and now the band is speaking out on their crazy night. Plus, Lindsay keeps showing up at their concerts!
Lindsay Lohan was arrested on Nov. 29 for allegedly assaulting Tiffany Eve Mitchell at NYC club Avenue, and some reports claimed the fight stemmed over jealousy, as both girls were trying to hit on Max George from The Wanted. Max’s band mate Jay McGuiness, who was also at the club that night, is now speaking out about the fight.
Lindsay Lohan’s NYC Nightclub Fight
As we previously reported, both ladies were going after Max, but Max ditched them both, going home with a third girl. Max later tweeted “eventful night”. It was reported that he was turned off by Lindsay’s advances because she was so drunk. Lindsay was at their concert earlier in the night, and failed to get backstage. However, they met up later at Avenue nightclub.

When asked about the alleged altercation, Jay told MTV News, “It’s a bit of a blur actually, but some sort of scuffle with a fortune teller. It was very odd. We actually carried on partying after that. It was reported that [the fight] was about Max, but I don’t think it actually was. But [Lohan] was a total sweetheart on the night, so our experience is quite positive.”
Jay also spilled about the homemade “Free Lindsay” tee, saying “I’m a little bit of an artist, so I got the old Sharpie out. And, yeah, after a small scuffle that went down, I felt very sorry for her. I wanted to cheer her up and I think she said she liked it, right?”
Lindsay, The Groupie
Maybe Lindsay really is crushing on Max, as she was spotted backstage at q102’s Jingle Ball on Dec. 5 in Philadelphia!
Do you think they would make a good couple, HollywoodLifers?
