The hugely talented musician passed away due to heart failure — so sad!
Dave Brubeck, the jazz titan who recorded the iconic song “Take Five”, has passed away.
Dave, who was 91, died of heart failure, his manager confirmed to TMZ.
He was best known for “Take Five”, which was recorded in 1959, and his long career that followed. He has also written many jazz standards, such as ”In Your Own Sweet Way” and “The Duke.”
Dave passed away in Connecticut on the way to a cardiology appointment. He leaves behind his wife, four sons, a daughter, grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
