The singer was spotted at the San Diego Chargers game on Dec. 2 and a shocking report claims that Nick choked a fan. But Nick claims it never happened!
Does Nick Lachey have a temper? The 39-year-old singer and TV host is being accused of getting aggressive with a Chargers fan. Keep in mind, Nick is an extremely devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan. Nick was reportedly at the game with his friends and was said to be trash talking a fan for almost all of the game.
The report on TMZ claims that Nick made a pretty intensely rude comment to the fan for wearing an Igor Olshansky jersey, a former Chargers player. That’s when the fan’s wife made fun of Nick’s band 98 degrees. That is what allegedly sent Nick over the edge and caused him to reportedly call the woman a “f**king b*tch.”
Nick then reportedly grabbed the man by his throat and shoved him to the ground. Security then escorted Nick and his friends out.
Nick took to Twitter and said: “Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn’t be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey”
But Nick’s rep says his client did not choke a fan: “This is a gross misrepresentation of what happened. It was nothing but a spirited debate between fans of opposing teams. At no point did Nick say anything derogatory to the man’s wife and anything to suggest the contrary is simply untrue.”
Nick took to Twitter to try and back-pedal and tell his fans that he wasn’t kicked out for “trash talking.”
“For the record, I was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive ‘trash talking,'” he said. “No, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me! I simply don’t appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. Call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction.”
