Could the Duchess of Cambridge have two babies on board? A new report suggests her rare morning sickness is caused by being pregnant with twins!
Kate Middleton‘s baby announcement came a bit early due to her stay at a London hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum, or a case of morning sickness characterized by severe nausea. But many are speculating that her illness is because the mom-to-be is expecting twins!
Dr. Ashley Roman of the New York University Langone Medical Center told ABC News that a study revealed women who are are carrying twins held a 7.5 percent higher risk of experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum.
ABC also reported the condition was seen more in female babies than male babies.
The illness only impacts about 2 percent of pregnant women, but can cause severe dehydration and vomiting. Prince William is visiting his wife in the hospital for the second day in a row.
Even though Kate is still early in her pregnancy, we can’t wait to see if she’s expecting twins!
