New information about the Jovan’s recent murder-suicide reveal the NFL star’s disturbingly tender moments.

Additional details are emerging about Jovan Belcher — the Kansas City Chiefs player who murdered girlfriend Kasandra Perkins, then turned the gun on himself — and they shed disturbing new light on the Dec. 1 tragedy.

Jovan, 25, knelt down and kissed Kasandra, 22, on her forehead after shooting her nine times, the Kansas City Star reports. He also kissed his 3-month-old daughter on the forehead before leaving for Arrowhead Stadium, where he killed himself.

His team made counseling available to him and Kasandra, in an attempt to patch up the problems in their relationship. The paper claims the Chiefs were “bending over backwards” to help the couple out.

Jovan was also reportedly with another woman, Brittni Glass, just hours before he shot his girlfriend. According to the New York Post, he had been drinking with Brittni and ended up falling asleep in his Bentley.

And one of the most unfortunate details, courtesy of Deadspin, is that Jovan had been combining alcohol and prescription pills.
