Angelina has vowed she’s relinquishing her famous acting career to be a mother to her children, and she wants to spend more time with the kids as they approach their teenage years. Keep reading for all the scoop!
Just like her 48-year-old fiancé, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie is giving up her A-list acting career, as the actress vows to spend more time at home to mother her growing children.
Why Angelina’s Quitting Acting
“I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home,” she revealed to Britain’s Channel 4 News. “I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but…”
Similar to Brad, who’s previously stated he could see himself behind the camera to direct, once he hits 50, Angie added: “…if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what’s happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.”
Brad and Angie are the proud parents of their six children – Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and twins Knox and Vivienne, four.
But before we have to get used to not seeing the 37-year-old actress star in new films, she’ll be starring in the Sleeping Beauty revamp Maleficent, scheduled to hit the screen in 2014.

Good, don’t come back. She is God awful anyway and had so much plastic surgery she’s bound to cave in. Her mental state is so off balance, and we don’t need to see her having sex with horses.
