On the heels of her thrilling pregnancy announcement, Kate has had to pull out of her planned royal appearances, due to her hospitalization for acute morning sickness. Read on for all the details.
It was the news we’d all been waiting for: Clarence House confirmed on Dec. 3 that Kate Middleton is with child! However, her hospitalization for acute morning sickness has already cause the mother-to-be to shake up her schedule.
A rep for Buckingham Palace told E! News, “The duchess will not be attending the public engagements this week, as she will be in hospital for a few days and will then need to rest.” The expectant duchess, 30, was due to make her appearances on Wednesday, Dec. 5, Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9.
Prince William‘s schedule, however, won’t be changing along with his wife’s. The rep made clear that he will “continue the current tour of duty with the Search and Rescue Force” through next summer.
So far, these three appearances are the only three Kate has had to cancel, leaving her scheduled appearance at the Dec. 12 royal premiere of The Hobbit up in the air. We hope she can make it!
Are you glad that Kate is making her health a priority over her appearances, HollyMoms?
