There’s a strong possibility that Kristen may be nominated for an Academy Award based on her performance in ‘On The Road.’ But will a win affect her relationship with Robert Pattinson?
Kristen Stewart attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 4th Annual Governors Awards at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles on Dec. 1. Leaving Robert Pattinson at home, Kristen mingled with Hollywood’s elite and allegedly increased her chances at becoming nominated for an Academy Award this year.
The event honored four of Hollywood’s finest, but for those who attended, it was a time to mingle with the members of the Academy before nominations for 2013 Oscars, according to Examiner.
Kristen’s attendance at the event suggests she is hoping for an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Marylou in On The Road.
Kristen’s Career Would Turn To Gold After Oscar Win
A win would mean better film roles, more choices and greater salary demands for Kristen. Her career would be catapulted in a new direction.
However, on the down side, there’s a chance a win could affect her relationship with Rob.

There’s a possibility that Rob could feel envious of Kristen’s success. It allegedly happened to Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe – they divorced shortly after her win for Walk The Line. And we all know what happened to Sandra Bullock and Jesse James’ marriage after her career skyrocketed amidst The Blind Side hype.
Rob is friends with Reese, so perhaps he can seek out advice from the Academy Award winner on how to balance a relationship when there’s only one Oscar winner in the house.
While we certainly hope Kristen is nominated and does win, we hope to see Rob and Kristen together forever!

Kristen’s work should be judged just like any other actress, if her work deserves a nomination or an award then so be it. Personally I think Kristen has been long snubbed by the Academy, she should have been nominated for Speak, The Cake Eaters just to name a few, she deserves some recognition for her many years working in the industry, there are many actresses that have done less work and not so good a job and have gotten an Oscar or at least a nomination. Keeping my fingers crossed in Kristen’s favor!

I GUESS WINNING AN OSCAR IS NOT GOING TO BE A BIG DEAL FOR BOTH OF THEM. LOVE MUST ALWAYS PREVAIL. AND KNOWING THAT KRISTEN STEWART IS SO HUMBLE ENOUGH THAT SHE MAY THINK OF THAT AWARD AS A VICTORY FOR BOTH OF THEM, THE PRIDE FOR HAVING THAT IS ALSO THE PRIDE OF ROB. ENVY MUST BE SET ASIDE. Who knows, I don’t think she will get an oscar yet, probably nominated, shes only finished twilight gosh, it is too soon…… she needs to time to grow….. maybe when shes older, theres is too many issues standing in her way……. especially her relationships. which is the most important aspect of it all……..BUT THEN SH’T HAPPENS…..wait and see, I hope she doesnt, not yet

HOLLYWOODLIES please get a clue. You only win an Oscar if you can act & Kristen can’t. She was only there because of Jodi Foster & the special award she will be receiving. Again, Kristen SUCKS as an actress & she not polished at all. If anyone from Twilight wins an Oscar, it will Rob.

I hope she does get nominated, she’s past due her recognition in the industry. She is well respected by fellow actors and her peers. Although I think Awards are stupid and really have no merit on talent..It has to do with the a -typical topics that the academy looks for and its all a game…..Kristen has to play it, just like everyone else.. rarely does a really good Indie film get nominated, and this is what Kristen is best at… Indie films.. My opinion of course…And if some of the commenters believe that not one of the winners of acting awards has played the game, you are sadly mistaken. As well, no one in the industry really gives a crap about what Kristen did with that no name director…Because everyone in hollywierd has screwed one another at some point in time…It’s the norm…So people on these stupid rag sites commenting negative things about someone every day regarding a stupid gossipy lie about someone, really has no effect on their career or box office sales…If a movie is good people will go see it…On The Road was a fantastic movie, I hope its gets recognized for all the hard work and dedication the entire ensemble had for that movie.
So keep spewing negative ranter , if it makes you feel better..because that is all it is doing..making you feel better about yourself by putting someone else down, who can’t defend themselves, because of course that would cause more gossip. feel safe behind your computers, little ones.

What game?the only game kristen knows how to play these days is “how far do you think a momentary indiscreation would get me”?and SHE WILL WIN.that movie has great actors and who have earned their careers front door no manga manga business yes cake eaters was good and she should have been nominated for it ,but those other ones like welcome to the rileys and the runaways ?in those she is just emotionless kristen stewart no character channeling at all .besides i think hollywood is discriminating against women halle barry only won an oscar after she got naked in everyway and now kristen is creating oscar buzz because of the same thing is she really worth standing up there with the likes of jennifer hudson and angelina jolie? those women won oscars because they delivered GROUND BREAKING performances in their movies that is why it didnt take long for them to earn the respect and so before you start giving her so much qudos remember to check if she has really delivered a GROUND BREAKING performance in OTR . she has only done twilight for het fame and she doesnt even deserve it maybe shell get nominated but her acting is not good .

@twilighter- lol no its not. Its a british acadamy award. Bafta stands for british academy of fill and television arts. Enange your brain before you run your mouth. We have the academy awards here in america..bafta is this british version of that. Common sense.
Both you and Fail below are seriously misinformed. An academy award is an Oscar. Oscar is the little golden statue they hand out when you win an academy award, that’s what winning the Oscar is. In Britain, the statute is a theatrical face, and its what you get when you win a British BAFTA award. In her case the Rising Star Award.

What a stupid article. Kristen was there primarily to REHABILITATE HER DAMAGED IMAGE. She was a cheater remember? There is no way she will be nominated. Her PR team has been at work for months since she cheated with a married man and they had this chance to help rehabilitate her tattered image. What better way to divert the public attention but to point it towards her non existent career. Kristen is all over the place campaigning and shoving down the throats of the media and the academy, probably begging to death for her to be recognized. Ha! the Spirit awards did not even recognize her. Golden globe and oscar, she may have a chance since this 2 bodies of awards are all for politics, campaign, bribes and PR maneuverings. Yes, kristen is that desperate but of course, her fans will say otherwise.

If she had a career like angelina jolie or halle berry then okay. This is getting beyond ridiculous. Firstly, Kristen Stewart will not be nominated for an Oscar. Sure she’s campaigning hard, but On The Road is getting no buzz and has only received a luke warm reception, from critics and movie goers. She is most certainly in no danger of winning one anytime soon. I may even hedge, that at this point, Robert could get nominated before her. He has some pretty interesting fare in the works, with award winning directors. As for it affecting their relationship? Her cheating did a pretty good job of that. Not sure, envy regarding a statue is even comparable tbh.
